“italy in paris”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013

hidden behind the effiel tower, a road off the gardens is a little gem of a restaurant. Very small and relaxed, greeted by a very bubbly waitress, who spoke english. Prices around 12 euros for a pizza. We were given complimentary roasted vegetables to snack on as soon as we were seated. Pizzas were huge and hand on heart , the best we've had since we were in Italy. We shared a tiramasu which again was delicious and big enough for the two of us. We were then given complimentary lemoncello. Whist we dined a gentleman played guitar singing and walking to each table. We sat chatting to a french business man on his own in the restaurant, who goes there regularly when hes working in Paris. We went on a Sunday in Feb but he said it gets very busy so its best to book if you are there in high season.

“One of a few”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

There are a few Gusto Italia's in Paris. I went to the one on 199 rue de Grenelle. The restaurant is tiny, the tables small, but nobody seems to mind as even on a cold Sundayafternoon around 3.30, it was full. Wine is served from a bottle behind the bar, you have a choice from several makes. Mine was excellent. With the caraf of wine came a free platter of cooked and roasted vegetables. I took a simple pizza, which was very nice with a very thin crust. I also had a coffee, and I was offered a limoncello liquer;
It is not expensive to Paris standards: I paid 19 € for it all.

“Wish we found it sooner!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012

We ate here our last night in Paris. We went a little early per Paris standards so there was no problem getting our party of eight in. Service was friendly, atmosphere cute, food and wine delightful. Wish I could take it home with me.

“Hidden Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This wonderful little restaurant is a hidden gem in the 7th adr on Rue de Grenelle in Paris. The owner is so accommodating he goes out of his way to make his small restaurant a memorable experience. Tonight we ordered "take-out" for our apartment because we had 3 American students visiting and Gusto Italia went WAY ABOVE and beyond the norm. The antipasto salad was off the charts and accompanying pizzas just beyond compare! We cannot say enough about the wonderful service from Gusto Italia.
We went there for dinner and Jacques was unbelievably gracious and accommodating. Truly one of our favorite memories of Paris!

“Good pizzas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 11, 2012

Small Italian restaurant in Paris. Very near to Eiffel and you can take a walk after a meal. The pizzas are good and the crust is thin and crispy. The pastas are also done al dente. The portions are big so beware when ordering.
