“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

I chose this hotel back in June 2012 because of the reviews and the explanation that it was newly renovated. Up until the time of my arrival in early August 2012 for some strange reason I kept having doubts, and eventually I saw why. First, I am fine with Ikea -looking furnishings. But the room was TINY. The bed was new but soft so I felt uncomfortable. I could not turn around in the shower without my derriere rubbing the walls. Yech. Then there was no room to work on my laptop because there was no real space for my things so they had to go on the desk. The room felt like one mess! The landing area outside the room smelled like cat urine. Not cool. Elizabetta while at first charming gradually grew annoyed with my questions and concerns. Not cool. The night guy had a more positive attitude and tried to help and kudos to him. While I had a street-facing window which I requested it overlooked a depressing apartment complex. This was my first time in France and Paris and it was starting to feel depressing. I checked out after one day, hoping to find something more akin to my expectations.

We were delighted with this hotel. Staff were incredibly helpful and spoke good English. The room was a good size for Paris, tastefully decorated and even included a desk and ironing facilities. It is situated across the road from the metro and surrounded by chemists, laundromat, restaurants, a supermarket and a fantastic bakery just around the corner. We would thoroughly recommend it.

We stayed here for 6 nights. The room was very tidy but very clean. However, we couldn't sleep well at the first night, as we were awoked by the next door neighbours who came back late at night and very loud. The hotel is very close to Eiffel tower and really close to meto. There is a very yummy bakery one blok away from the hotel at right. Some really nice local restaurants nearby, we tried the Korean one one night, was a nice change after eating lots of expensive French food. Great value !

This nifty little place is great as a base camp to travel around Paris. You are a 30 second walk from the M10 line which can take you to other metros (subways) in a few minutes. The Eiffel Tower is about a 5-10 minute walk away. You have a pharmacy and mini-mart within a few minutes walk. There is a boulangerie about 45 second walk from hotel (So no need for the 11+ Euro breakfast!). The room was clean with very comfortable beds. The shower has the right temperature you're looking for at the right pressure. The two things I wish it had would be a mini-fridge, and English channels. Granted there are three English News channels, there are no entertainment channels. But if you speak French, Italian, or German you are in luck because they do have a few regular channels in those languages. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms get cleaned around 10-12. Oh yeah the hotel is or was quiet during the night. No problems sleeping.

Room Tip: Just a well positioned hotel with great service.

Although this isn't in the centre its great for a business trip on a budget. Firstly theres a direct bus from the gare du nord (42) that stops nearby (via Tour Eiffel and Champs d'elysees). Secondly its near RER Javel (The RER is quicker than the metro) and finally its next to Charles Michel Metro.

Also its a nice neighbourhood. Theres a cafe two doors away where you can get a good value breakfast (hotel is rather expensive) and the bistro 121 (121 rue de la convention) is nearby. That is top rate.

As for the hotel itself. Staff are helpful, rooms are clean and well appointed, if a bit small. Prices are not cheap but fair for the area.

I usually syay in Goussainville or other suburbs to save money but this is a much nicer option.

Very pleasant place to stay. Clean, cheerful room, nice view of courtyard, pleasant staff. It was just right for us -- comfortable but not too expensive.

Check-in was very quick and the staff are so friendly.... The room and bed was a bit small but it was very clean. It had a good shower to.
The hotel is walking distance from everywhere, the Eiffel Tower is about 15 min walk and the Metro is just across the road. Great way to get to the train to travel to Disney Land!!!!!!!!!!!

Great value :)
