Quiet place in the hart of Paris. The stairs are a bit old, but the room is perfect: clean and new. The bed is a bit hard, but that is better than too soft. Great bathroom with new shower and clean toilet. Friendly guy at the reception. Good value for money. Car parking next door.

Hotel location is very convinient, rooms were very nice, I didnt like the fact of not having a lift. I was on the 6th floor and stairs were very steep.
Staff were polite.I would defently choice this hotel again if I visit Paris.

Room Tip: better cleaning under the beds.

I stayed at the Hotel de la Herse d'Or in July 2014. I got a single economic room (shared bathroom down the hall). I had a little balcony overlooking Rue St. Antoine (Rivoli). It was steps from the Bastille metro stop, and great place to explore the Marais. Clean room, free wifi (I think), staff were friendly enough, would definitely stay here again. Tons of restaurants nearby.

Simple and basic, pleasant efficient staff, aim for the first floor (Rooms 11 or 12) as stairs are narrow and steep. Handy for the Metro and in easy walking distance of many of the major tourist sites. Very convenient to a good number of first rate characterful restaurants.

This is an old hotel. Therefore, no elevator and sloping floors. The bathrooms are tiny, but there are still bathrooms in the rooms. The triple rooms are good for a family of 3. The breakfast is pricey for what you get, but it is right there. If you want more for less go across the street to the fruit / veggie place and then to the bakery.
If you get off at the Bastille metro go to exit 7 and walk down the street from there; the hotel entrance is very small and not well marked, so pay attention.
It is great value for the $$

Plus: Great location: many places to eat outside, can easily access Notre Dame by foot, subway just 2 min away from the hotel. Had incredible view from my window. Friendly reception.

Minus: Very poor wi-fi. It was that slow that in the end I was using a public Orange wi-fi from the street to get a faster connection. Toilet and shower outside of the room, but I knew that in advance.

Room Tip: Try to get a room which will face the street. It's not that loud, but the view is fantastic.

Nice hotel in a very convenient location. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms clean and modern. Decoration is in general modern.
The staff is friendly and we were given the password for the WIFI on check-in. Stairs are bit of narrow in general no complaints.
