“Close to attractions. Poor security.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2013 via mobile

walking distance to Eiffel Tower and other attractions small room but nice for Paris. Rooms are not sound proof as they advertise. Also when you leave your room you have to leave the room key at the front desk. That's fine but when we would come back and ask for our key we would just say our room number and they would hand over the keys. We did this to a new front desk agent who didn't know us and they just handed over the key. I work at a hotel so usually its mandatory to ask for ID and other information. Made us feel a little unsafe

Had a great trip to Paris with my boyfriend, we stayed here and walked to the Eiffel tower, you can take the train also if you like there is a station at the end of the street the M10 Charles michel its like 2 stops I think. We ate at a restaurant next to the hotel the last night that was really good. We didn't spend much time at the hotel because who would when you're in Paris! I liked having the french style windows in our room and opening them and looking out into the street it was really nice and a cute area. Didn't eat breakfast here because too expensive but I definitely recommend this hotel we will be back!

I had a great experience at Ideal Hotel. For me, it really was "IDEAL". The location was perfect. Just up the street from the Metro. There are great little cafe's nearby plus a Starbucks in case I got homesick! The room was comfortable, the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. They have very good security. I was glad there was somebody watching who came in and out 24/7. The shower had better water pressure than most places I've been to. The internet worked GREAT and was FREE! All in all, it was a nice place to stay for a great price.

Room Tip: Choose a room on the lower floors because the elevator is quite small and it's a lot of stair to...

I dont normally write these kinds of reviews but the amount of misinformation regarding the Ideal Hotel (96 Emile Zola) is colossal. First of the website is a scam, being constantly 'out of date' and the much advertised student prices on breakfast do not apply. The rooms are very small, but have decent sound proofing, provided you book a room away from the extremely small but noisy elevator and are used to the regular noise of cars driving by. The rooms have a fridge that costs 2 euros per day(!) and the public internet access costs 6 euros.

As is typical in France, getting any hot water from bathroom is a monumental feat and the Ideal Hotel is not an exception to this fact. The hot water heater is off for the most of the day and the shower system lacks pressure to pump the water at decent rate. When booking off the summer, travellers are recommended to bring extra clothing as the windows leak heat and some rooms are exceptionally windy. This will help handle the excess heat at summer time though as the hotel rooms lack ventilation excluding a single fan.The cleaning service works the staff is relatively helpful. The breakfast is a bit overpriced as there are multiple decent bistros and cafes close to the hotel. Location overall is good as Eiffel tower is nearby and there are several metro stations within walking distance.

Stay here if you want to get a cheap bed at a good location. Dont stay here if you expect to spend any time at the hotel.

Room Tip: Away from the elevator

Stayed here 9 years ago, going back to Paris in June 2013 not this hotel. Only because doing apratment this time. This hotel very small room, jump over the bed to go to bathroom, and just stand still in shower. Quaint, mini lift, breakfast not so crash hot but adequate. Nice stay and we loved the neighbourhood. Would stay here again, you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Ensure you do not have to much luggage to carry. as very little space in the rooms.

Ive spend there 2 days, and it was really nice. Clean, with own bathroom, and worth the money. The bedroom was really tiny, but for the price what would you expect! Besides, you are in Paris for the city, not to stay in the hotel all day. Its near underground with McDonalds nearby and other quite nice restaurants and shops. It is a bit aside from the center though, which can be quite annoying. The staff is very friendly. I recommend!
