“Favorite Hotel in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 15, 2013

We have stayed at this hotel twice and would not hesitate to book here again. A family member suggested this hotel as it is centrally located to just about everything we wanted to see and do in Paris. Daniel, at the front desk, has been our savior on more than one occasion..... including coming up with a restaurant reservation on New Year's Eve within walking distance of the hotel. The man is a miracle worker! HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Keep in mind that you are in the heart of Paris - rooms are going to be small. : )

This small hotel was in a great location on Rue du Bac, a block from the Metro station and within walking distance of many sites. The staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating, and the breakfast which was included in the room rate was very good. I was disappointed at how small the superior room was and did not think the bed was terribly comfortable. But what really surprised me was that there were no toiletries in the bathroom, other than a soap dispenser attached to the wall...no shampoo, no bar of soap, no body lotion, no box of tissues...not even a washcloth. I think that is a big shortcoming for a hotel such as this one.

Dear Guest,

Thank you again for choosing the hotel Saint Germain and thank you for writing a review of our service and our hotel.
For you and the others travellers reading my answer, i am glad to give some more information of our establishment :
Our hotel is a 17th Century private hotel, knew how to preserve the atmosphere of the ancient bourgeois manor.and for that reason our rooms are from 14 to 25 m2.
Most of the independant hotel in Paris will have approximately the same size of room.
All our room bedding has been completely changed during the hotel renovation in 2011.
Our hotel has made environmental improvements to it's structure in order to minimize its impact on the environment; in order to reduce waste we choose to have dispenser for soap, shampoo & shower gel with ecologic product made in France instead of individual packages. Therefore on request to our reception team we also have all normal individual toiletries.
During your next stay please do not hesitate to ask us for all your needs,
we will be happy to assist you and will make sure that you will have an unforgettable stay.
My sincere regards
Virginie Daveu

A good hotel in Paris near St. Germain des Pres. Walking distance to Deaux Magot and Brasserie Lipp, lots of other good restaurants. Rooms are small but nice, clean. The service is great. Very helpful staff that are very friendly.

We stayed here in February 2013 and it was a most welcome shelter from the bitter Paris cold! The location is fantastic, smack bang in the middle of Saint Germain with easy access to anywhere in Paris via the metro station moments away. (Nearest to us was Odeon) The local area was lovely, really nice restaurants and cafes and a Creperie right next door where I indulged in a delicious hot crepe filled with chocolate and banana!
The Hotels it was lovely inside, quaint French decor and a very comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice and clean and overall, the hotel was spotless. Internet access downstairs along with a charming lobby area and breakfast room. Definitely worth paying a little bit extra due to the location.

Would definitely return.

Loved the decor, the comfy bed, the very attentive service. The location is super central and convenient on the super chic rue du Bac. I felt very much at home in this intimate, clean, hotel. I was recommended this hotel by friends and every time I tried to book it it was full so I guess that's a good indicator. I would most definitely recommend this beautiful, charming place to stay.

This was everything we had been led to believe. The rooms are small as in the photo, but the room decor, hotel ambience, welcome, food, slightly quirky nature and most importantly the location more than make up for that. It gave us a great base for a wonderful weekend. We would definitely recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in August, and was pleasantly surprised by the hotel and its location. The hotel has a lovely homey feel and the location is perfect, with the metro nearby and many attractions within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Pierre. Would definitely recommend this lovely little hotel
