“Perfect Location - Tolerable Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I booked MONTHS in advance for 3 rooms - each with a Queen bed - yet was shoved into a back corner "room" with 2 twin beds and a tiny little window with a view of a solid wall! I was told the hotel was full and that was "all the was available". Reminding them of my 5 months in advance booking and multiple rooms - all at a very high rate - did nothing at all!
My 3 night stay sort of went downhill from there.
The best about this hotel is the location. Short 2 block walk to Blvd St.Germain and bus/metro connections, lots of restaurants close by and only a pleasant 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. That does make up for the lack of services and staff.

Checked in as a party of three women, room no 24, in late August....which was a triple room....two twin beds shoved together with a cot bed in the corner.
The room was unbearably small for 3 people, the furniture was awkward, for example, a mirror in the corner, not at the dressing table etc. made it difficult to get ready.
could barely walk around the beds, no storage whatsoever for shopping or suitcases, so basically we were tripping over ourselves and the furniture for 4 nights.
Plenty of towels, simply because we took them from the open storage closet right by our room, all toiletries provided are very very basic.
We inquired about an extra power adapter for our appliances, we were told we would have to buy for 8 euros.(All other hotels we stayed in Paris gave us one without an issue)
We asked for a bottle opener for our room, told they didn't have one to spare...
Staff at the desk were cordial, some were lovely, people on at night (two different men - night concierge i guess) were helpful and charming, day time staff, surly and begrudging.

The bathroom was ok, except came back from being out one day and the shelf with our soap toothpaste etc had been removed....weirdly.

location is good, 5 mins from nearest metro, little stores for room provisions (which you will need staying here!) and great restaurants and pubs nearby.

We didnt go to Paris to spend time in the room, which is a good job because this one wasn't too great, basic is the best compliment i can give, like i said, it was awkward, small and unsuitable for 3 people. We stayed in other budget hotels in the area and they were far and away heads above this one.
The lobby looks nice sure, but the rest isn't too great....and don't expect to use the wifi at all, even with the password its rubbish.
if you get a super cheap price then book, but i probably wouldn't stay here again unless it that was the case.

Very disappointing experience! Way over priced for what you get! Pictures on website do not match the bathroom I had which was a tub with a shower arm that dispersed the water in a large area and no shower curtain so the water went on the floor- very difficult to wash your hair too! (17) The first room ( 21) had such bad mold in the shower we asked to be moved. We requested that the mold be removed but it was not done. The ceiling of the main room was cracked and peeling. The mattresses were caved in the middle! The room was so small the single beds were pushed together and hardly any room to walk around. They advertised they had internet but you could only get reception in the lobby area! Only one plug in the room. We wanted to leave and get our money back but the hotel refused to give us a refund! I have Never been to a hotel that would not refund your money if you were unsatisfied. I learned from one of the desk agents that they are closing soon for a big renovation- all I can say is it is Long overdue! The hair dryer was the old wall type that gets so hot you have to wrap a towel around it in order to use it and it was still very hot! You could hear everything the people next door said. The elevator was pre WWII style- I would not recommend this place to anyone!

Hotel is well positioned; our room was on the third floor overlooking the interesting, bustling street and the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We did not eat at the hotel preferring the good value continental breakfast offered in the little café just over the road. This hotel is in an excellent position for people visiting Notre Dame, Louvre, La Fayette, the Pantheon etc. there is a great choice of small restaurants in this area. We would strongly recommend it to the budget traveller who puts location high on the list.

Very dilapidated hotel , and over priced. Great location and walking distance to Notre Dame and the Louvre . On the fringe of Saint Germain . But rooms were very small and in need of refurbishment and bathrooms a bit tacky . Breakfast was included but after first day we ate out as it wasn't as good as many other hotels I have stayed in Paris . Loved location , didn't think much of the hotel . Wouldn't stay again .

This hotel has a very good location. Rooms are very small and simple, but clean and functional. Bathroom was small and the soap and shampoo given by the hotel to guests are not of ten best quality so be sure to bring them from home if you want quality stuff. Breakfast is good and staff is very friendly. The direct metro line that goes to the airport is 3.5 blocks away. Internet was average. Would recommend it.

We would not recommend this hotel as we had booked this hotel for 2 nights in April, but only ended up staying for the first night. The room we were given was like a concrete cell, two windows both looking into concrete walls, walls so thin you could hear the neighbours going to the bathroom. The plumbing was blocked in the guest toilet downstairs and while checking out a guest was complaining of no one attending her toilet that was leaking all over her floor from the day before.
We could not stay here another night.
