“Great All Rounder”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2013

Stayed for 3 nights and were pleasantly surprised with spaciousness and cleanliness of room. The 2 staff members we encountered were extremely helpful and pleasant. Location was perfect for us and we walked to Louvre, Muse de L'Orangerie, Pantheon, Notre-Dame, Luxembourg Gardens, Muse d'Orsay, and George Pompidou Centre. Plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby as well as a supermarket and laundromat. Hotel has a lovely courtyard on the ground floor and also a small lift.

Room Tip: Stayed in Room 21 which overlooks Rue Jacob. Traffic did not bother us at night with window closed...

We stayed for six nights, traveled to the Provence area, and returned for another three nights as we were so impressed with this hotel during our initial stay. While it is a very good three star hotel, the service elevates it to five star status. First, the location can't be beat. As others mentioned they had done, we too walked to almost everything, using the Metro to tour about and head to other areas of the City. After one night, the staff knew who we were and handed our key to us when returning to the hotel before we had to ask for it. The staff made good recommendations for eating, shopping, directions--everything to make our visit more enjoyable. Inga in particular helped us with many, many things, but most importantly as we pondered where to go after Paris. She suggested Aux en Provence, which turned out to be an excellent recommendation. I can't say enough good things about our entire experience at the hotel, and will enthusiastically recommend this wonderful place to friends and family.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Millesime. We always loved this small hotel, ideally located. Our stay was shortened due to an fracture my husband sustained. I have to write to say that the staff at the hotel was amazing in assisting us with arrangements. So while the hotels has so much going for it, it is the personal caring of the staff that we must highly commend. Michelle

We stayed for one night at this hotel and it was great. The room was very nice and the bathroom was really big. We stayed in room 15 and it was very quiet. The location of the hotel was great as we could walk to many of the attractions of Paris and easily walk to many restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to someone looking for a great location and a very nice room

The millesime is in a terrific location in the Rue Jacob close to restaurants, bike hire, museums, the metro yet it is quiet: not being on a main street. I had room 14 which was bigger than normal Paris hotel rooms. While I was by myself the room (and bathroom) was big enough for 2 people. Mind you it wasn't huge. I really enjoyed the place and the staff were helpful. Of course it is reasonably expensive but then again Paris hotels are generally expensive with small rooms. I will definitely stay there again.

Dear Sir,

We would like to thank you for sharing these kind comments about the Millesime Hotel with other travelers.

We are thrilled that you really enjoyed the hotel and the helpful staff!

The Millesime Hotel is indeed located perfectly right in the heart of Paris, close to so many monuments, restaurants etc.

We love the area and are always happy when our customers enjoy their time in St-Germain des Prés as much as we do…!

We look forward to welcoming you back

We stayed at the millesime last year in may. Great location, comfortable beds, clean, decent breakfast. Air con didn't work well last year in may as they had just turned it on for the summer. This year we returned with our kids. The air con didn't work well in our room. But it worked great in the kids room. Corner rooms are much larger so I definitely would request that. In all fairness I didn't say anything to the staff about the air conditioning.

This time I noticed things in the bathroom. No big deal but marks all over the mirror and some chipped tiles. You have to climb in and out of a large bathtub when showering. So if you are older or handicapped you might want to ask for a handicapped accessible room.

Front desk staff is very helpful and nice. I would stay here again but thought a little bit less of it this time.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for having taken the time to write a review about the Millesime Hotel.

We are glad to read your kind comments about the very helpful and nice front desk staff, the great location, comfortable beds, cleanliness and the decent breakfast.

Nevertheless, we are a bit disappointed to read that you thought a bit less of the Millesime this time…

With regards to the air conditioning, it worked well throughout the summer; the technical service generally comes quickly in case a customer requires assistance. We are sorry to read that you did not report that you felt it did not work well in your room.

Concerning your comments about the bathroom, it unfortunately happens from time to time that tiles chip with things falling down and we can assure you that we replace them quickly if necessary.
As to the bathtubs, all our bathrooms are equipped the same way.
We do not yet propose a room with specific equipment for handicapped persons, but the remodeling is planned for 2014.
We do look forward to welcoming you on a next occasion!

Do not hesitate to indicate us your preferences for the rooms in advance or any matter while you are staying with us.
It is always easier for us to fulfill customer expectations if we are aware of their needs!

Kind regards

After spending months and months researching Paris hotels (books, Internet etc,) for my first trip to Europe I decided on Hotel Millesime. Best decision! We absolutely loved this hotel. Great staff, clean rooms, AC worked well, shower/bath was outstanding (better water pressure than I have at home in the US), the lift is small, (common in Europe), great toiletries. Definitely worth the extra $ to upgrade to slightly larger room.

Perhaps one of the best parts about the hotel is its location. If you are looking for the picture-perfect outdoor-cafe feel this is the location for you. Nestled I the most charming neighborhood and close to RER and metros. We had the most fun just strolling around our neighborhood.

All in all we will stay here again when we come back to Paris. A+ experience!
