“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

I've visited this hotel 2 times (2 years in a row) and I was very pleased.
The location is excellent. It's very near the Louvre (explains the name) and high-end designer street Saint-Honoré. I'm a big shopping fan, so If you want a affordable hotel with a good location, this is it! A lot of high-end stores are located near the hotel. Besides the shopping, almost all main attractions are near the hotel. Most of them you could walk or easily by subway.
But keep in mind, that Paris is a big city! So a lot of sighseeing is spread over the city.

Several metro stations are near the hotel, so it's very easy to travel by subway.

The rooms were very nice. First time I had a room for 3 persons. The room and the bathroom were both a bit small. Second time I had a room for 2 persons.
This was great, I had a bathtub and a seperate shower and the room was also pretty big.
In general, the beds are not very fluffy or soft. But the interior was nice though.

I didn't had breakfast at the hotel, because there are alot of bakery's in the area. So I bought every morning a croissant and baguette :). Just know that almost everything is closed on Sunday (except Champs Elysees and restaurants). So you have to find breakfast eslewhere!

Eitherway, this hotel was always a pleasure to visit.

Room Tip: If possible choose the top, I had the idea that these rooms were bigger than below floors!

We stayed here over Christmas and found the hotel to be a gem of a find !
The location is amazing .... across the square from the Louvre and a 2 minute walk to the Metro Station.
The rooms are true Parisian in style, yet spotless and cosy.
With lots of shops and eateries within walking distance this location is truly amazing.
Its just a hop onto the Metro and off to see the other fabulous sights that this amazing city has to offer.

I just recently stayed here and enjoyed the hotel and location very much,,across the st from the Louvre and about a 30minute walk to either Notra dame and eiffel tower, and thats what i did,i walked everywhere during my 3 day stay,,i had a room that i had to take the elevator to the 4th floor then take a little spiral staircase up to my room (502), for myself that was pretty simple and only added to the "charm" of the place for me.The room was adequate size for a single traveler, you opened the door to a little hallway with the bathroom to the right hand side as soon a u walk in,, ,the main room area was decent size,,to the rigt hand side after coming thru the hallway was a desk with a vaulted window above it,the bed was comfortable and the room was clean, there was a minibar refrigerator with a little spare room to put something u may buy yourself, also a complimentary bottle of red wine, didnt really need to talk much with the staff other than checking in and out but they were polite and cordial both times,i was also pleased with the price, about 360Euros for 3nights.I would stay here again and would recommend it to any1 traveling by themselves,i also think there are other rooms for couples but since i was alone i didnt look into it.Highly Recommendend

The price of this hotel is probably for the most part determined by its location very close to the Louvre museum. Other than that, what you get in this hotel is way out of balance with its price. In other, also nice, locations in Paris you pay less than half the price for this type of hotel:
- tiny rooms with tiny windows of which most have a view on the depressing patio
- wonky, ragged furniture
- not a very good mattress with rubber cover
- very narrow dark corridors
The rooms don't look at all like the photo's on the website.
The rooms are clean. There is a minibar with reasonable prices and a safe.
Staff is friendly.

The hotel was in the very center of Paris, just about 3 min's walk from Musee Louvre and the nearest metro station. Nearly every place of interests is within 20 mins by metro. My mom and I stayed 3 nights there. But room was super tiny… although I didn't have much expectation.

This hotel was recommended by my travelmate who stayed in this hotel last winter... Since it was my first trip in Paris, I decided to take her suggestion to stay in this hotel for 4 nights in mid November since it was her second trip here.

Good points:
1) good location as it was near to few restaurants, near metro station, near the Lourve.
2) Clean room though it was small but we are not picky on the size of the room.
3) good service when u checked in, but don't expect any more good services after you've paid and checked-in.
4) Airport private shuttle driver that they arranged was very friendly.

Bad points:
1) Room is enclosed and stuffy if the air-conditioner is not operating. On first 2 nights of our stay, the air-conditioning was functioning till third night it was completely off. We went to check with the receptionist if it's spoilt or due to any other reasons. He couldn't give us a reason and said he will change the room for us next day. But then I told him it was really stuffy, so his friend, who was chatting with him while he's working, rebuked us that we can just open the window for ventilation. We were staying at only one level above the ground floor and we were concerned if any burglars would climb in if we open the window like that. Moreover, there was also a sign on the window stating to close the windows at all time due to security (I guess the security in Paris is well known for its insecurity), so we dare not open the windows since we were just 2 girls traveling. Not wanting to argue further, we endured the night without much ventilation. Next morning we went down to check with another receptionist (who was the one who welcomed us on first day) and when we asked him if he can help to check on the air conditioning, he said rudely to us that air conditioners are switched off during winter... And that's the end of our conversation. My friend who stayed in this hotel last winter did not have this problem... So I guess they change their practice? So pls avoid this hotel during winter unless you can tolerate the poor ventilation of the room.
2) Latch of the door was spoilt but we didn't make any fuss about it as we thought it shouldn't be a problem as we assumed it was safe, but it was not that safe as we thought it is. On the last night of our stay(without any ventilation in the room), there was suddenly a group of guys shouting and knocking our neighbor's door loudly. They were speaking in French which we couldn't understand but we recognized one word from their shouting, that is 'POLICE'. We've read forum that there are police scam in hotels, so my friend and I quickly switched off our lights and off the TV to make it seemed like our room is empty. We were worried if they would barge in our room since our latch was spoilt. We just stood there praying that they won't come knocking to our room, or otherwise we thought of jumping down from the windows... Luckily it did not happen. But we got no idea how the reception allowed such people to come in...

Overall to say, the price that we paid are not cheap but this is the standard of service and safety we get. If you do not mind the poor ventilation during winter, safety issue and small rooms, go ahead and stay in this hotel...

Stayed here for five days with my boyfriend, and i must say that i am not impressed! for the price we payed,700 euros, we could have found a better hotel that included breakfast(this one dont) When we arrived the room wasn't ready yet, but we got to leave our luggage wich was fine by us! The first receptionist we met was nice and polite, but it seemed like the hotel has many receptionists, because we did not see the same person twice during our five days in the hotel. We did not try the 11 euro breakfast, because the receptionist told us that the breakfast was "not good, but not bad". So we decided not to try it. it seemed like no one else did either, cause the only person we saw eating breakfast was the staff..

We got our room, wich had an Ok size, but it was really dirty(see pictures). There were dust in every corner, stains on the floor, hair on the sink and in the bathtub(i decided clean the bathtub myself before taking a shower), and on the wall there was a big, dead mosquito that probably was killed there during the summer...i lifted the sheets, and it looked like the pillows either were used or just tucked into the pillowcase in a hurry. it seemed that they did not use time or energy to make the room look nice..but i dont know, maybe they were in a hurry..
we asked them to clean our room, but the only thing they did was wax the floor. We could still see the staines on the floor, but it looked much cleaner, and felt much cleaner! The bathroom was still the same.
The hotel is cozy - in the common area, but the rest of it is old and a bit "worn". i think they have other types of rooms as well that are newer and bigger than the regular double room we had(305). If you have a large suitcase you might find it difficult to get to your room, because of the narrow hallways, and the tiny tiny lift. If both me and my boyfriend were wearing our parkas jackets, the lift barely could fit us both (but I must say that we are both tall norwegian wikings). The stairways was also very narrow, and if a fire should start, there will be a total chaos of people.
The room was quiet, and the bed was good, even though it had plastic under the sheets. At least i slept like a baby!

As i work in an hotel, i often notice the little things. Every time we went out, NO ONE in the reception even looked up to notice us. most of the time they just sat there with their eyes on the computer, or in the breakfast area eting, while the phone kept ringing in the reception. But if you stare at them long enough they might just say hi! ;)
The man welcoming us the day we arrived was nice, actually he was really funny! :)

But we did not stay in the hotel much, since paris is a great city with way too many things to experience. I can recommend this hotel for a couple of days as the location is GREAT! right next to the louvre :) (and one tips - everything is in french all over in paris, not a single english word to see)

Plus: Minibar, safe, free winebottle, location(VERY GOOD!!)
minus: Cleanliness, indifferent staff, price (compared to what you get), tv- only cnn is english, every other channel is french or dubbed.
