“Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

The room was adequate and clean. Good housekeeping. Breakfast is on the pricey side for what is on the menu. Good location for shopping, cafes, Paris transit, and Eiffel Tower. Tub and shower in the room overlooking the patio. Too bad the weather was too wet to eat outside.

For travelers accepting the small size rooms of a modestly priced Parisian hotel, this is a great find. Our bed was big and comfortable. The bathroom had a tub and shower. We found the hotel to be charmingly furnished whether the decor is authentic French or made in China (referring to an earlier reviewer's negative comments below). The staff was very courteous and helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. Nearby Starbucks, McDonalds, the GAP and H&M if one is inclined to eat and shop the American way. Also, plenty of brasseries and cafes around. Best of all, Metro Lines 6, 8, and 10 are not more than a block away. Line 6 allows you to connect to the RER that goes to CDG and Orly Airports for not much money. Despite being near two big boulevards, Grenelle and Le Motte Picquet, we did not experience outside noise disturbances because the hotel is on a narrow street facing residential apartment buildings. I would recommend this hotel to all travelers not expecting the spaciousness of a Hyatt or similar. This is a boutique value priced Parisian hotel.

Room Tip: If street noise is a problem, ask for a room facing the garden. If traveling in the summer, pay mor...

Stayed here for three nights in July ... The second visit for my husband who enjoyed a stay here last year as well. It did not disappoint. Conveniently located a few minutes from the metro, it was a short walk for us arriving on foot after a train trip from Bordeaux. Our room was on the third floor ... There was a lift, quite small, but appreciated for the luggage haul, although we usually used the stairs as they were quicker. I loved the area we were located in ... Fifteen minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower and some great local shops and eating places. The room was small, but decorated with a charming French feel that added to the character of the place. Staff were friendly and helpful, although having to ring the bell every time we wanted to enter was a bit of a nuisance at times. The breakfasts were very nice and we loved the option of eating in the courtyard setting when weather permitted. Will be happy to stay here again.

Good location, didn't eat breakfast but looked nice. Hotel was very sweet and the rooms a ample size. We had a garden view room but the trees covered the whole window so this was a bit rubbish as it was lovely weather and would of liked to see into the garden.

We have just spent three days at this quaint hotel. Very conveniently situated near an underground station. The walk to the Eiffel Tower takes about 15 minutes. Fast food outlets and good restaurants within five minutes. Rooms on the small side but very comfortable.

First trip to Europe and now concluding our 6th day here in Paris. We knew this *** hotel would be small based on what we had read here. But room was clean and bathroom was very nice with tub and great shower with ample hot water always. Staff, Sebastien and Anca were always pleasant and accommodating with good English. Our room was on 4th floor and facing the back, quiet courtyard. Yes it is warm without A/C but the fan and open windows kept it comfortable to sleep. The queen/king bed was very comfortable with a memory foam type mattress. 6 night of excellent sleep. Metro is steps away and 20 minute walk to Eiffel Tower makes this an excellent location. Felt very safe and secure.

We stayed at this hotel during July (very hot days). Hotel doesn't have air conditioner so it was bad experience for us. It did not cool down at night. I was miserable. I was told those days was unusual hot for Paris. We were there during Tour de France. Hotel is a small but nice for the location. If you go to Paris other than summer months it is a good one. Room size was ok. We were coming to hotel just to sleep anyway. Breakfast was small for American standards but big for Parisians. We liked having breakfast at back yard. Bed was nice. Close to subway. We walk to Eiffel Tower at night. Everybody was sitting on the grass and drinking wine, watching the light show. Hotel was in a little street but it was loud for us because we had to leave our window open. Hotel stuff were very nice people. Shower was kind of small. I you don't move a lot you don't have problem. If you are going to Paris on a budget and wanting to be close to touris areas this is a nice hotel. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel and you are going to spend a lot of time at the hotel this is not for you.
