“Paris 6em Hotel stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Nice, well located hotel, with pleasant and helpful bi-lingual staff. Room 204 small but not unusual for Paris. Shower worked well and soaps provided were of nice quality. Bed comfortable and amenities (tv, etc) worked well. Interior reception area art deco decor was pleasant.

Only complaint was the room doors squeaked when opening. This can be easily avoided by applying oil to the hinges by hotel maintenance.

Overall good value for the price and excellent location. I would return and recommend the hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on street side have small balcony and double pane windows keep out street noise. Street is not...

The best part of this hotel is the location. What could be better than starting the day in the Jardin Luxembourg with an almond croissant or coffee macaron from Dalloyau patisserie? The location is walkable from the activity of the Latin Quarter, but far enough away to give a more neighborhood feel. The rooms are not air conditioned and Paris was unusually warm during our stay. Upon request, the hotel provided an oscillating fan which kept us comfortable. We had a twin room which was very, very small, but had comfortable beds, an abundance of pillows, and was exceptionally clean. Not only close to Odeon metro, but we used the bus frequently and stops are near, as well.

My family and I stayed at this hotel for one night in Paris before continuing in our vacation. We were 2 adults and 2 teenagers (13 and 15) in a quad room. The hotel is very easy to get to/from the Odeon metro station and a short ride away from the train stations. It is about a 3-5 minute walk to the metro, easy to do, but tricky to find at first. It is close to many sites. The front desk staff was quick and helpful. The quad room was a good size for the 4 of us (1 double bed and 2 singles), very clean, with lots of room for the suitcases and stuff. Overall it was a very good hotel and we would stay there again in the future.

Safe and convenient location. Breakfast available with reasonable quality and price (24 euros only for a family for 2 adults and 2 children). Room was clean and tidy. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing is that there was no water boiler and refrigerator in the room so it was a bit inconvenient. Also it was quite noisy at night with the traffic and people talking on the street unless you shut all windows. Overall this is still a place I would recommend.

The small rooms mean lower room rates, leaving more money to enjoy Paris. Great location to Metro, Jardin du Luxembourg, RER (commuter rail) to get to/ from the airport CDG next to Jardin, and restaurants and sights just minutes from the hotel. The optional buffet breakfast was substantial and healthy. A great base to get around Paris.

Room Tip: Courtyard rooms may be for solo travelers. Two person rooms on street (noisy as for all hotels by st...

We had two rooms for one night. Staff was very accommodating in giving us rooms very close with a shared hallway. Location cannot be beat though decor is very basic. Breakfast decent, a good base to explore Paris. I would definitely return.

Given the heat and the the night time noise, traffic and people coming out of bars, the hotel did very well. The double glazed long windows completely shut out noise but then you have the heat. We were offered a change of room but it was in the roof and even hotter. We were then given a fan. Really with no A/C there should be one in every room. We paid extra for a superior double 165 euros including breakfast. Expensive but the breakfasts were well worth it. Fresh fruit salad , all the ham and cheese very fresh and if you want it the help- yourself eggs, bacon and fried potato would serve as brunch. The location is good and the no change metro from Paris Nord makes it possible with luggage.

Room Tip: 401 was a nice room. I saw 601 which has lovely roof top views but hotter.
