Nice hotel and great location.. 5 min walk to the Louve. Just remember all hotels in Paris are small!!

Our room was probably 10x7 and I'm serious! So be ready for this.. Having 4 bags for 2 people is taking the cloths you want out.. And put it up. This is the reason they got a overall 4....

Staff are very nice and helpful.

Don't get screwed by Paris taxi.. Use the tube for everything.. Very easy. Or bus

We stayed at hotel Crayon one weekend in June and had an excellent stay. We got upgraded to their colorful suite for free as ordinary rooms were fully booked. The suite consists of a big bedroom with colorful wall drawings, vintage furniture and lamps and a connected bathroom with bathtub, shower and sink with matching drawings. We were really fascinated by the design of the hotel. The staff gave the best service I have ever experienced at a hotel. First they made a great effort to find us a restaurant for one of the nights, printed out different options and afterwards called those we were interested in to check their availability. The last day (after we had checked out) I got really sick (I was five months pregnant) and had to crawl back to the hotel were they gave us a hotel room for free right away and called an emergency doctor. I got medicine quickly and was able to travel back home. Thank you so much for your effort and help with this situation.

Hotel Crayon is one of most unique yet comfortable and inviting hotels I have ever visited! We are an engaged couple (both 26 years old) on our first European vacation! Paris was our second stop after London and from the moment we arrived at this hotel we were in LOVE! The employees at the front desk were very inviting and spoke great English. When we walked in they greeted us warmly and got us setup in our beautiful room on floor 5! We were assigned the orange and blue room that you see on their website. The lift is very small so we had to take separate trips up to floor 5! Our room was not as small as I had expected (from all the reviews I read). To be honest, we came from the Hyatt Regency in London which had large rooms and though the Crayon had much smaller rooms, it was not a huge shock! We had a nice full size bed with 2 nightstands, an armoire, and a desk. The bed was SO comfortable with a wonderful comforter! We both slept so well. Each morning, noon and night, the staff at the front desk was so inviting and welcoming! They always offered us good advice on where to eat, where to find a small store to stop for a bottle of wine, etc. During our trip we decided we wanted to visit Versailles but didn't want to wait in the ticket line when we arrived there. We purchased tickets online and the front desk was happy to print them out for us! HOW NICE! The Hotel Crayon offers FREE WiFi for all guests and has a great honest bar in the lobby! I would reccommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris. There are many cute restaurants close by and you are VERY close to Les Halles station which is very convenient for transportation within Paris as well as international rail stations (we came in from London and left Paris and went on to Amsterdam with NO problems!). You can literally walk to the Louvre in about 5 minutes from this hotel!

Overall, I would give this hotel an A! Only downfall is that the rooms do not have enough lamps/lighting when it is dark out which makes it hard to get ready in the morning or at night and our shower only had a handheld shower head so that made showering a bit more of a chore. Not big problems for us! Thank you Hotel Crayon!! We can't wait to come back!!

Besides the funky chic design and interior of the hotel, the incredibly friendly and informaive staff, crayon hotel screams location, location, location!
Its one thing having a very cool and comfortable room in the heart of Paris, but the staff make the difference to other hotels we have stayed in Paris.
People working in the hospitality and travel industry who wake up smilling thinking "I love my job'' are far and few, but most of them have ended up at the Crayon.
We arrived with a packet of Crayons from Australia and they loved it so there was a bond from the start!
Thank you to all the staff who made it much more than just a holiday.
