“Lovely Location - Great Staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2013

We just stayed here recently in November 2013. We were booked for a long weekend in Paris. The staff was able to change our original suite that was assigned to us due to it smelling horribly of smoke (room 54). The second suite - room 64 had no cigarette smoke odor and was charming. The bathroom ceiling could use a fresh coat of paint. The day and evening staff were extremely helpful and well spoken in English and French. The breakfast room and honor bar were extremely convenient along with the free wifi. One other small snaffu was the breakfast room must have been swamped on Saturday morning - - since most of our favorites from the day before were wiped out - and it seemed like they could not keep up with filling up the buffet stations. Out of eggs, croissants, yogurt, milk, etc. We did not have the time to wait for a renewal of the buffet due to the start of a tour we were headed out on.
Overall - a clean, quaint, Parisian boutique hotel in a nice neighborhood with a great staff. The 6th floor suites are the largest and quietest.

Room Tip: Choose 6th floor suites - ask for the largest of the suites. ours was room 64 which was larger than...

Location is pretty good with a great range of restaurents and cafés nearby. The staff are very good; helpful and knowledgeable. Rooms were value for money in Paris with very hot water and strong shower pressure: which is not to be underestimated!
They have the best stocked "honesty bar" I've ever come across :-)
All areas were clean and tidy.
Staying at the Lenox helped make our stay in Paris an absolute delight.

My wife and I honeymooned in Paris and London, and stayed a week at this fine hotel. I don't speak french, and know very little about french culture, yet that didn't cause any problems here or anywhere in the area. The location was pretty good, though we had no reason to venture south, we were able to walk as far as to the Arc de Triomphe without much of a sweat (didn't hurt that it was 50 and drizzling- a little different than May in Texas). The room was tight, and could have used an update, and the same goes for the bathroom. I wouldn't say anything was dingy or unclean, but with old fixtures and worn carpet, it's hard for me to get that at-home feeling of relaxation. There was always a bit of noise from neighbors, but nothing that kept us up at night. We had a street facing room, but it was fairly quite. The room was air conditioned, not that we needed it. The staff was polite, and one nice lady even taught me what our room number was in french. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed here for four nights recently. Overall it was a positive experience. The location was excellent with two metro stations and a main line station within walking distance. The service (especially reception) was wonderful . On the down side the rooms were very small,we were in room 25. The bathroom was tiny and the grouting on the tiles could have done with a good cleaning. We were disappointed with breakfast as it cost €17. It was part of our package so we had it each morning.

The rooms are very spacious like suites and quiet. The hotel staff are always happy to help with reservations to restaurants or massage. The car service to and from airport was top notch. This is not a hotel with a big restaurant but what they do offer is very good in their downstairs dining. Lots of cafes nearby and the main shopping on Champs Elysees.

Stayed here for 4 nights and was extremely please with what the hotel has to offer for the price.
Comfortable room, large bathroom and shower over bath tub. Good amenities, flat screen TV, fridge and lift that works!!.Also clean and staff lovely and very helpful. Another very good reason to stay here is the location. Situated outside the very tourist areas there are many restaurants with 5 minutes walking in all directions, which are frequented by the residents of Montparnasse so you are getting real French food. Choice ranges from small bistros to upmarket restaurants, pizza bars, Italian, as well,as French, a Korean BBQ Restaurant, and many more. Also next to hotel are 2 small supermarkets, Patisserie, Cheese shop, and a butcher shop that has roast chickens and potatoes. Also a wine cellar. So you choices to eat are numerous. Two metro stops with 5 minutes walk, Open Bus tour pick up stop just around corner. Montparnasse train station 10 minutes walk, the Montparnasse Tower (View from here as good as from Eiffel Tower) Gardens, Cementry. and entrance to the Catacombs all with 10 minutes walk.
Also on turning left you come to a large square, where the street "Gaiety" is situated, with very popular resturants specialising in food from Bretagne, Cantal cheese dishes, etc. A Cinema also located in this street.
And all this at avery reasonable price for Paris. What more could you want.

Room Tip: Front rooms can be a bit noisy from happy folk in bars but not an issue for us.

The good:
-Walking distance to two metro stops (makes public transportation much more flexible)
- Pretty exterior
- Mostly friendly staff
- Free WIFI
- Staff spoke English very well

The bad:
- Phone calls were not free (not even to numbers within Paris so make your restaurant reservations either online or before arriving).
- Small rooms (but most hotels in Paris have small and old rooms)
- Rooms do not have iron or ironing board (you have to request it from concierge)
- Rooms have old fixtures and TV

Good news is for the most part- you'll be out of the room all day so "the bad" is not so bad.
