“Great location; great value; perfect stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2011

Stayed here after reading others good reviews and doing our own price/research comparisons. Hotel is in a fantastic location in a quaint neighborhood and kind of away from the main tourist areas. Very easy to catch the Metro (3 stations nearby) to anywhere in Paris. Lots of restaurants, bars, patisseries, boulangeries etc in the hotel vicinity within minimal walking distance too. We took the Air France shuttle from CDG to Gare Montparnasse and then walked the short distance to the hotel; very convenient (one of the main reasons we chose Montparnasse for our hotel location). Did the same routine in reverse to head back to CDG. Reception staff are very friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and perfectly acceptable quaility for a mid-range, reasonably priced (for Paris!) hotel. Yes they are a little small but that is really only in comparison to American hotels, perfectly normal and accepatable size for what is the norm in Europe. We paid room rate only so no breakfast included but it can be purchased on a daily basis if desired. We bought breakfast while out and about but would have to say that the price of the hotel breakfast is comparable to that of eating out anyway. Perhaps a little more expensive but then it is all you can eat too. Did not use the 'honesty bar' but nice touch if you feel inclined to relax with a drink in the hotel's cozy lounge area. Free tea/coffee in the lounge area during the late afternoon/early evening. Mini bars in rooms for a cost, free tea/coffee making in rooms, free internet via computer (only 1) in reception OR via TV in room. Would stay here again and recommend to anybody looking for a decent, basic hotel in a great location.

We chose the Lenox because we arrived at Gare Montparnasse from Bordeaux. Within easy walk to lively boulevards, Luxembourg gardens, and Latin Quarter and to RER and Metro. The room was clean, cheerful and comfortable, with large, clean bathroom. Excellent generous full breakfast was included in our special rate. Although we didn't use the "honesty bar," it's a nice feature if you desperately need a late night drink. Very pleasant and helpful staff.

Last stayed at this hotel in 2004. Then it was smart, reasonably priced and newly refurbished. This time around it was dated, expensive, tatty and not very clean. The room was quiet apart from the usual plumbing noises. It looks as if is it hasn't been decorated since 2004.- Seriously. The sink was cracked. I found someone's hair in the shower which was stained. The room cost 220 Euros a night. Breakfast was an additional 16 Euros a head. The area is good and it is near the Metro. La Coupole is nearby and does a very good breakfast in beautiful surroundings for 8 Euros.

We loved staying at the Lenox Montparnasse. The room was clean, sheets crisp and white, big bathroom. The size of the room was a bit small, but we managed by stacking our suitcases at the entrance.
There is minibar in the room and an honesty bar in the lobby. (An honesty bar is a bar where you serve yourself and write down what you drank.) The people at the desk were very helpful. I would stay there again.

We stayed in Paris for 3 days and we chose this Hotel for our stay and it turned out to be a great choice, I really loved it. It's so close to two important lines of metro so you can go everywhere in Paris within minutes, there are lots of great cafes and restaurants around Hotel and there is a good shopping mall near it. the other positive points of this Hotel is its friendly staff and also cleanness. the staff was so friendly and professional, I even became friend with one of them whose name was Olivier. this guy was full of energy. every time I saw him we started to talk for about 5 minutes, of course in french! but you'll have no problem with language as all staff can speak English fluently. the only negative points I can say is it was a small hotel overall, and room was small too but it was OK. free WiFi was great, TV was fun also as you can use Internet and watch movies and lots of channels. another positive point the rooms had safe box which is vital for safety!
at the end, again I have to say that the location was superb. three metro stations nearby, and it was safe even late night.

We stayed 3 nights with this hotel in October and really enjoyed our time here! I was warned ahead of time that rooms can be quite small in Paris, and it was true as there weren’t a lot of room to place a luggage, let alone two! However, everything you need is available in the room and it was clean and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located between three different subway lines, giving us a lot of route options when we planned out our visit. Breakfast is available for a price, but there are bakeries next to the hotels if you want a fresh croissant. Two convenience stores are available on the same street and are open till late. Staffs were friendly and they have a luggage room in case you arrived earlier or wanted to leave your luggage at the hotel after checkout. Free wifi and movies are available in each room. Overall, we highly recommend this hotel as it is very convenient for travelers and reasonably priced.
