“Perfect Location and Very Helpful Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013

This hotel is absolutely lovely. My wife and I only had 4 days in Paris, but thanks to the PERFECT location of this hotel, and its proximity to the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysee, we saw everything we wanted to see and more. There is a metro stop literally right across the street from this place, so if there are a few things on your to-do list that aren't within walking distance, you can pay around 4 euro and go anywhere you need to go by just walking across the street.

The staff at the reception desk even gave us an outlet adapter because we forgot to get one before we went. They helped us locate certain attractions, and gave us information regarding a shuttle back to the airport before we left.

Although we didn't spend much time in the hotel, the accommodations were always clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was a little pricey, but they made us fantastic omelettes and had a generous variety of breakfast foods, tea, and coffee.

Just for your reference, Both the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysee are about 15 minutes walking. The Louvre was about a 25-30 minute walk, and Les Invalides is 5 minutes, right down the street.

Thank you for a wonderful 4 days--the next time we come back, we'll definitely be staying at the same place, and we'll be recommending this hotel to anyone thinking about going to paris.

--Matt and Monika

One of the best value for the money among the hotels I've stayed in Paris. It is conveniently located across from the metro and you can walk to many places. There is a nice market you can walk to in 5 mintues, it felt very parisian to buy our lunch there, fresh cheese, bread, macarons, etc. Just ask the front desk for direction. The service was very good. They kept our luggage, helped us reserve a ride to the airport, etc. The room was a very good size, and the fresh flower in the bathroom was a nice touch! will definitely stay there again.

Stayed at Hotel Latour Maubourg for 2 nights at the start of July 2013. We booked an Empire Room and ended up in room #2 - Eugenie. The rooms was very spacious, with a huge comfortable bed, television, mini-bar, table and chairs, and desk. Temperatures were hitting 28 degrees C in Paris and the room was always lovely and cool with the air conditioning.
The bathroom was luxuriously decorated, with a beautiful roll-top bath. This, however, caused a slight problem when showering, as the bath was not sealed to the wall meaning water would run down the wall, soaking the floor tiles and bath mat. A tiny issue however.

Staff were all friendly and spoke good English - certainly better than my French! -and were happy to hold on to our luggage both when we arrived early for check-in, and also at check-out. There is a laptop downstairs connected to wi-fi, and the rooms have free wi-fi connectivity.

The location is perfect, literally across the street from the Metro, and 10 minutes walk to the Eiffel Tower, Invalides and the impressive Pont Alexandre III. There are a few nice restaurants 2 or 3 doors away, as well as a small supermarket in the next street.

We stayed 3 nights in July and it was fine. The first 2 nights were in a room that was very small, though comfortable and with a king-size bed. The last night we had another room that was large by Paris standards and with huge bathroom though for an extra euro100 per night (the bathroom even hosted a stepping machine - good for burning off wonderful French cuisine?) I would certainly opt for the larger room as it had small balconies by the windows and a view of the park. The staff are wonderful and even moved our 3 large suitcases for me when we changed rooms. Very helpful and caring. We normally like to stay in the Les Halles area of Paris however the hotel was close to Musee d'Orsay and the Eiffel Tower so it was well located and a pleasant walk to Galleries Lafayett (the sales were on!!!).

Room Tip: Opt for the larger room.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 23, 2013

Spent 4 nights here in late May and really enjoyed our stay, location was perfect, a short walk to all the major sights from the Eiffel Tower to the Louvre. A subway stop was directly across the street as well for those who use the Metro.

The rooms were huge by Paris standards as this is actually an old home converted to a hotel furnished with beautiful antiques. The hotel staff were super friendly especially the young lady who manned the reception desk during the day (sorry I have forgotten her name).

The only negative was no shower, just a nice bath tub with a hand held shower head, not our preference for sure but we survived.

It was a bit pricey but I think worth it for such a memorable stay.

Had a very nice overnight stay at the hotel. The room was good and the staff were very polite and friendly.
The location is great, right next to the park and in walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and the Champs Elysee. It's a bit expensive, but everything in that location seemed to be the same.
The only downsides were that we'd booked champagne and they forgot about that. When they did deliver it, the champagne hadn't been chilled. There also wasn't really a shower. The bath didn't seal against the wall and the shower head was at waist height, so it was a matter of kneeling in the bath to have a shower. Not a massive problem, but for the price I'd expect a proper shower.

No complaints other than housekeeping came in one day after I asked them not too! Staff very friendly and centrally located to sites and metro literally a stones throw away from front door! Would definitely stay there again. Another drawback is no vending machines if u need water it will cost you!!!!
