“Great location. Clean. Nice Decor. Tight Rooms. Limited Food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2013

We recently participated in the Paris Marathon and chose Hotel Keppler based on convenient location to the Champs Elysees and favorable Trip Advisor reviews. We took a train from Charles De Gaulle airport to the Gare du Nord and taxi from there. The overall trip took about 1 hour plus. For convenience, I would recommend taxi direct from airport. The cost difference is about 20 euro, not worth the hassle. It can be difficult maneuvering through the busy train system with jet lag and luggage in tow. The Hotel is on a non-trafficked side street. Our second floor room was exceptionally quiet. Access to the metro was just a short walk from the hotel. The staff greeted us warmly and spoke English without any hesitation. The hotel is very clean and welcoming. We chose a Standard room which we expected to be on the small side, typical of most Parisian accommodation. The room was indeed small but cozy. Large luggage storage could be a challenge. The armoire doors when open, just cleared the edge of the bed. We quickly learned how to maneuver around the obstacles. The bathroom was also small, but the linens and soaps were first rate. There is no restaurant on site, and we did not opt for the breakfast plan. Restaurants in the immediate area exist but are not plentiful. If one has an expectation of many cafes, boulangeries, brasseries, and patisseries adjacent to the hotel, this area is not the best for that. However if willing to take short walks, you will have no problem finding food in Paris! As for value for the money, of the many hotels we considered for our trip, Hotel Keppler was in the mid-range. Paris is awash with very expensive hotels. All things considered, we would rate the value as average based only upon the size of the room and the lack of an on site restaurant. In the end, the Hotel met our needs and we were pleased with the location, condition of the hotel, and the friendly staff. I would recommend Hotel Keppler for somebody wishing for a central location in a quiet, upscale neighborhood in Paris.

I recently stayed at the Keppler with my husband and we were impressed by the chic design, the excellent service and the overall elegance of the atmosphere. A true Parisian experience. Because its size is relatively small for this level of hotel, there's a real feeling of intimacy and style that one might not get in a larger establishment, with a level of attention and service that makes guests feel welcome. The concierge was charming and very helpful in getting us theatre bookings providing us with all kinds of information that made our days in Paris a true treat.

My wife and I spent six nights at the Hotel Keppler in Paris in April of 2013 for our anniversary. We loved our stay from start to finish and highly recommend.

First, the staff is excellent. Every individual we met was warm, friendly and very helpful. We felt right at home, especially since our French speaking skills could be described as "severely lacking."

Second, the location was perfect. We were only a few blocks off the Champs-Elysees and very close to the George V Metro. You can walk to the Arc de Triomphe, the Eiffel Tower and many other classic Paris attractions.

Third, the rooms were large (for Europe) and recently remodeled to be very modern. There were plugs everywhere for us technophiles. Free wifi. The bathrooms were clean, large and with excellent water pressure during our visit - all characteristics that can be missing in European hotels.

Finally, the value. Our rooms was in the 220 euro range, with a wonderful daily breakfast included. For what we received, this was a fantastic value. Form my research, many of the hotels surrounding us were inexplicably much more expensive.

The only drawback, and this was not a major dilemma for us, was stepping in and out of the shower tub in our room. The tub was tall and so required a bit of high step get in and out of the shower. When you book, and I highly recommend you do, I would inquire about a room with a smaller tub if it could be an issue. (First world problems, right?)

In summary: The Keppler is a great hotel in a great quiet location near everything you want to see as a Paris tourist. We can't wait to go back!

Tip: Check out the little boulangerie Josephine right around corner. We were thee several times as they had the best bread, macaroons and sandwiches we ate during out trip!

Hotel Keppler blew me away! Excellent service. Helpful staff. Amazing location, walking distance to most sights. Avenue des Champs-Elysees, restaurants, and shopping just a few streets away. This is the first and only hotel to give me a free upgrade. We paid for a triple room and got a suite. Awesome! Hermes toiletries are so good. I wish I knew where I could buy some for home. Chocolates on your pillow. Daily weather report cards. The suite was sweet! I'm SHOCKED at some of the negative reviews. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. I can't wait to return to Paris and the Hotel Keppler. I can't imagine a better place to stay. I almost forgot to mention the balcony with Eiffel Tower view and super cool TV built into the bathroom mirror, thats luxury. If you can afford it, go for the suite, we can't all expect free upgrades. Thank You Hotel Keppler!

I stayed at Le Keppler with my 4 year old for 6 nights. I am a travel agent, and having considered many other options I was so pleased I chose Le Keppler, "Perfection". The location, the staff (exceptional), the room extremely comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. I have since recommended to clients, and will continue to do so. The staff at this hotel will make it worth the extra couple of euros. You get what you pay for and the stay here is well worth it.

This boutique hotel is beautifully presented; an outstanding mix of the contemporary and antique. The individual rooms and the public areas are lovely, just as they appear on the web-site. The hotel is also perfectly situated really close to the Arch de Triumph and the metro.
Most importantly, the service was exceptional and really personal, all the staff were friendly and helpful. Do ask for advice from the concierge team regarding restaurants etc. they can ensure that you make the most of your visit.
The hotel wasn't cheap, but then nothing in Paris seemed cheap and Hotel Keppler was certainly worth the price.

Our friends had recommended the Keppler and they were right. This hotel is perfect! Everyone working there even remembered our friends. That’s the nice thing about small hotels. We also recommend this hotel. It’s maybe more expensive than some other places that we were checking before the trip but it’s worth.
