We tried going to Rice and Beans around 7pm to find them closed. We looked through the windows and could see old food and dishes everywhere. It didn't appear to be in good shape at all, or opening any time soon.

“Amazing Mexican Food in Paris!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2011

This restaurant...WOW! What can I say!

They have a selection of tacos, including the 'taco du jour' which has in the past included a taco of scallops with an avocado cream sauce. Outstanding. Their tortillas are freshly made and authentic. Same with the guacamole.

Limited seating, so show up early or with a reservation.

Don't leave without trying the chorizo burrito...amazing.

“Non stop fun with good food and a great ambience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2011

We went out to Rice & Beans last week for dinner & drinks. We did not know that they didn't take reservation and this was not pointed out in advance after one person both called & emailed but good for future info...

We were about 8 people so started out in their little room on the lower level which was actually quite fun. It has a stereo system that you can connect an iPod or iPhone to if you would like to listen to your own music.

Our server, Alexis, was fabulous and got his exercise running up and down the stairs with our food/beverages.

We ordered an assortment of tacos and burritos accompanied by rice and beans (thought it was a good choice, considering their name !) as well as guacamole.

Not everyone was familiar with Mexican food so some found the burritos too heavy on the beans. I personally enjoyed them and thought the food to be very good.

Tacos were the overwhelming favourite along with the guacamole.

After we finished eating, we moved upstairs for another bottle of wine before ending a lovely evening.

The decor was quirky and fun, service perfect, food delicious and we liked the red wiine but were not too keen on the white.

Definitely worth returning to and recommending !
