To start - no, I do not believe the internet makes or breaks a trip / hotel stay, but for myself (who was traveling for business and pleasure) it was difficult to do much of anything online during peak times (~6pm to 11pm). I do think it's something that travelers need to consider however. When I asked the front desk about the slowness / lack of connection, they suggested I try using it in the lobby.
Location: On a lively street (St Marcel), a few steps away from a small grocery store (Carrefour), right in the middle of a few pubs and restaurants, and less than a 5 minute walk to the Metro. The closest stop is Les Gobelins (line #7), which takes you direct to Pont Neuf and the Louvre without needing to transfer lines. It's cheap to take the metro, and very convenient so I would suggest anyone who wants to get around do it with the train!
Room: We stayed in a "triple occupancy" room, which cost us ~160 E per night (not cheap, but we booked last minute.) It was quite large by Paris standards - in the bedroom we had a queen size bed, with a smaller double bed beside it (where a couch would likely make its home, were it not for the extra bed being there.) We had a view of the street through the French balcony, which was fantastic. The bathroom is split - the shower and sink is in one room (shower was huge, a lot of room in general in the shower area) and the toilet is in another, much smaller room (it was smaller than a small airplane bathroom.) Room was very clean, didn't have the typical "Paris boutique" smell to it, and the cleaners did a great job each day. I can't complain at all about the room, it was very good.
Service: service was fantastic. All of the front desk folks we talked to were very helpful, telling us what tour buses to take, how to get around using the metro, and they booked us a cab to take us to the airport (which showed up right on time!) Interesting / odd thing you will encounter: you need to leave your key with the front desk anytime you leave the property. It's a real "key", not an electronic one, which is likely why you need to not take a chance losing it.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for travelers. The only downside was the price - I'm sure you can find a similar boutique for less than 160 E. Like I said however, I booked last minute, which is likely why the cost was high.
