“A great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

My family stayed here for 3 nights at the beginning of the new year. Small rooms, but comfortable. Breakfast was very tasty too! Located very close to the Eiffel Tower and metro stops, it was a perfectly located for all of our sightseeing. I always felt safe in this neighborhood when we were walking around at night. There are several very tasty place to eat within a 5 minute walk. The entire staff was very helpful, and always willing to answer questions. I highly recommend this hotel!

This is a perfect hotel to use as a base to explore paris, 2 streets away from the eiffel tower with 2 supermarkets on the next street (100m away) so easy to get those little things ( wine) paid approv 20 euro for 3 really good bottles of wine, rooms are very small but perfect for a city break as we only slept there, wehad french doors in our room (room 317) that looked out to the eiffel tower and this made it very romantic, only downside ifound was that the beds did NOT make for a good nights sleep, very lumpy and all went to one side and they were very noisy when you moved, all in all i would give this hotel 7/10.

Room Tip: room 317 has veiw of eiffel tower.

We stayed in this hotel on our weekend trip to Paris. Had a room on 3rd floor, overlooking the courtyard, but we could see the Eiffel Tower besides the houses from our room. That was really enjoyable to feel yourself in the heart of this beautiful city. :) Location is just perfect: narrow peaceful street, metro nearby, close to Eiffel Tower and other major attractions - you can easily walk to access them.
The room was small and the bathroom was really tiny, but it was clean and cosy. During the breakfast they served fresh bakery and cheese, staff was helpful and spoke good english.
It is a small hotel perfectly suitable for tourism trips, highly recommend it for its price and service

Room Tip: Ask for higher floor for better view

There's no denying this hotel is convenient for the Eiffel Tower. We stayed in the Family Room on the ground floor for 2 nights with our two children. Our window looked on to the courtyard - opposite the toilets. The beds and heating were fine but the bathroom was so tiny! It is pretty tired for the money but I have nothing to compare it to. We booked around 5 weeks beforehand, there wasn't a lot of choice, and we paid 420 euros. We had just come from a 2 star Disney hotel room which was much better but this is in central Paris. The staff were ok. It suited us as we didn't hang around there too long. It's a small hotel which is fine for sleeping, it was quiet, but its not the place for relaxing, so if you need to spend more than a couple of nights in Paris go
somewhere else. We wouldn't return.

Stayed 4 nights, perfect location for the Eiffel Tower and Rue Cler area, and an easy 10 min walk to various Metro stations to access the other major attractions. Staff were pretty good, especially Vita (hope I've spelt that right). The breakfast was extra cost and standard offerings but on the whole pretty good. Good wifi in room, with logins provided at check in. Our room was on the 1st floor so no complaints there, net and tidy, as expected reasonably small in size but all we needed. I would happily recommend but we stayed in October and I would think the lack of Air Conditioning would be an issue in summer.

The hotel is in a good location on a side street so there isn't much noise and it's close to the Eiffel Tower, Rue Clere and the metro. The staff was mostly good, not overly helpful but certainly not rude either. We had a roof leak in our bathroom on the second day, they did fix it but it took all day. They have wifi, but you have to get a new pincode and password from the front desk every 4 hours, got really annoying after a while. Rooms are tiny, but I assume that’s the norm in Paris from what I’ve read and the bed was not very comfortable. I would probably stay in the same area at a different hotel next time. I recommend Café Roussillion if you do stay in the area, great shrimp risotto and a very friendly staff.

This is the first time I have reviewed anything it was that bad!

After being recommended this hotel by a friend that visited the hotel 6 years ago and seeing average reviews we decided to book for 3 nights....on arrival we realised the hotel must not have been cleaned in the last 6 years as I know my friends would not have stayed in such a dump.

The guy on reception was lovely and we were given room (302). Before I start my rant I would like to point out we had come from 5 days camping in the South of France, we are not 5 star holiday people we are happy to go for a 2-3 star if the loacation and price are right.

So we got into our room and were absolutely disgusted, I have honestly never seen such a gross room and especially at 165 euros per night! In the UK it would be a £30 per night kind of place at most.

The room was tiny which is to be expected in Paris but this room needed a full renovation. There were chunks missing off the corners of the walls, loads of stains up the wallpaper. The bed covers were badly worn and stained, when we pulled back the sheets there was hair in the apparently clean bed. The bathroom was again tiny and filthy with black thick mold in the shower.

We decided we couldn't even spend a night there (we were starting to itch!). We went down to reception and complained, the receptionist seemed completely surprised that we would not be happy but promised we would not be charged and did offer to let us use the wifi to find alternative accommodation. The place is so small and unclean we opted to find a Mcdonalds for their wifi instead!

We ended up booking into a wonderful hotel (Sezz) which was inevitably more expensive but a completely different experience and we managed to salvage our trip in a beautiful hotel.

After returning home I have noticed that Eiffel Rive Gauche has charged our card for one nights stay so it gets worse. I have tried calling and it says number not in use so the drama continues but luckily we are covered through our bank.

So my advice is do not stay here. Even if you are OK with the basically one star level, it is not worth the money. There are plenty other hotels in a better location just put the time in and look for them it will be worth it.

Unfortunately I didn't think until after we had left to take pictures so apologies that I can't show you what I am talking about but I hope this helps.
