“6 friends, 3 rooms for 5 nights!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 13, 2012

This hotel is warm and welcoming and the staff could not be nicer or more helpful!
While the rooms are quite small, the hotel was comfortable for friends spending time together as well as seeing Paris, which was incredibly easy from this excellent location.

Our experience of this hotel was soured by the fact that we had 150 euros stolen from our room on the last day. As we were leaving very early the next morning, the receptionist promised that the manager would call us as soon as we arrived in London the next day to discuss what had happened. We didn't hear back from the hotel and we found that the 150 euros had been promptly taken off our credit card.

I'd like to warn other travellers that this happened - even though we were careful and left the money in the safe. Whoever stole it must have had access to the safe and thought that by stealing a lesser amount of 150 euros (we had 720 euros in total stored in there) that we wouldn't notice.

I had a very nice stay here in March. The staff are kind and very helpful and the hotel could not have a better location.

We traveled in May 2011 and wanted to stay in the 6th or near St. Germain and this location was ideal for the right price. Not expensive, not cheap - very reasonable for Paris and the location. It's on a very peaceful and quiet street with limited to no traffic. 1.5 blocks from St. Germain where all the restaurants and shops are, and close to the Siene. Very good location as we could walk to our favorite area, the Latin Quarter.

Rooms are small, we had a window opening out to the street and was able to keep it open at night if we chose - but its a city, and there's always noises. The hotel supplies fans in each room so we were able to keep it cool at night without opening the window. Bathrooms were updated and shower was spacious and had great pressure and hot water.

Staff was very friendly and made some recommendations if you want some places to go, in the 4 nights there, we saw the same people each day. They all speak english. we didnt have the breakfast so can't comment on that.

An overall great small boutique hotel with the right charm and great location

Great location with very reasonable prices, the rooms were bijou and clean. All of the staff working on reception were helpful and friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked through the Eurostar website and got 4 nights for the price of 3 which was even better. There are plenty of cafes nearby but this is one of the main tourist areas and a bit more expensive than others - I would recommend getting on the metro, which is not a scary as it seems and just going a few stops either way to get a more reasonable deal for lunch or dinner. In fact the cafes by Notre Dame and the Champs Ellysee were better value for money.

Room Tip: We had the only room with a balcony which was great as the room tended to get a bit hot a night and...

I chose this hotel due to the location being Central to Montparnasse, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, The Sorbonne and all the great eateries and boutiques of the Left Bank. I was worried about the size and quality of the room due to the good price we got from booking via the Eurostar website, but even though the room was small, it was very clean, tastefully decorated, and lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Our room was right next to the lift, but due to the layout of the hotel the bathroom is on the left as you enter and then you have a small corridor/hallway leading to the bedroom with a separate door, so you don't hear any noise (and I'm a light sleeper). We were on a B&B basis and the breakfast is very generous. We had a basket of french bread, croissants, madelines, freshly squeezed OJ and yogurts. This was enough to keep us going until late into the afternoon! The only complaint from my husband (and a few other guests) was that the room was very hot on the first night, but this was probably because it was -10 degrees outside! This was soon rectified and the temperature was more bearable from then on. The staff spoke excellent English and on our first night recommended a very nice, typically French Bistro just round the corner from our hotel. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone who wants a small friendly and quiet hotel in a classy district of Paris - all within walking distance of the major attractions
