We're glad we chose the Louvre Marsollier Opera. It's central location is great, within walking distance to the Louvre and Notre Dame in one direction, and to the Madeleine, Opera and the main department stores and boutiques in the other direction. Two different Metro stations within 2 to 3 hundred meters makes it very convenient to connect to almost anywhere within minutes. There are several options for breakfast along the Opera Avenue, as well as for dinner all around and in the main avenues, like Capucines. Staff were polite and very helpful, always ready to answer our questions and offer advices when requested. The rooms are comfortable and well lighted, clean, but...small. But that's the same anywhere in Paris, unless you have big, loaded pockets. Overall: great choice!

The location of this hotel is perfect, 3 tub stations are near by, shuttle bus station to CDG is within walking distance. Lots of Japanese restaurants are near by. There is a Monoprix(Fred Meyer) near by too. Triple room is quite large, but double is small. The only complaint I have is one nigh the hotel did not have hot water and overnight stuff did not do much other than a plain 'sorry'

This hotel is a gem! We took the Roissybus from Charles de Gaulle airport, which drops you off at the Opera, and it was an easy walk to the hotel. We booked a Large Triple room (even though there were just two of us). It was immaculate. It had a queen-sized bed, twin daybed/sofa, desk and two chairs, with a small balcony overlooking the Rue Marsollier. The bathroom had a bathtub, plenty of towels, hairdryer and nice toiletries. There was an electric tea kettle, coffee/teabags, and a minibar/fridge (which we used to store our own milk for tea). The location can't be beat - there are two metro stops just blocks away. The rue Marsollier is extremely quiet, even though it's very close to everything. The hotel desk staff spoke perfect English and couldn't have been nicer. The breakfast was served buffet style - it was delicious and quite substantial (including unlimited croissants/baguettes, cereal, fruit, meat & cheese). I've stayed in quite a few hotels in Paris and now I will always stay at the Hotel Louvre Marsollier.

This hotel's location is phenomenal. It is incredibly convenient, in a quiet little side street. You have 3 metro stops at your access, and you're about 5 minutes from the Roissy bus to Charles de Gaulle. It is truly a great location. The rooms themselves are super-tiny. You barely have enough room to open both your suitcases in the room. If you want to eat in your room, you have to eat on the bed. The shower is so tiny that when you show, you get water all over the floor since there is no shower curtain. The toilet is high off the floor, so you feel like you're sitting on a throne. At least there is air conditioning and cable TV flatscreen (the room is so small, I don't see how you can get a regular TV in there). Overall, it's a great place if you're just looking to sleep and explore paris. You really cant' spend much time hanging out in the room unless you just lay in bed and watch TV. The beds themselves were fairly comfy, but nothing super-nice. Overall, very clean, great location, but small.

  • Liked — Great location, free wi-fi internet, clean
  • Disliked — Room are so tiny, showering gets the bathroom all wet

I stayed for one night mid August at a very good rate of 100Euros for a single occupancy of a a double bedded room. The hotel is charming and within a few minutes walk of the Opera Garnier, the Madeleine area...etc. In fact one can walk to practically anywhere it is so central. It is situated in a very quiet little enclave off the busy Avenue De L'Opera. I was on the 6th floor in a charming room with wooded beams and an exposed ancient brick wall with two windows and a state of the art air conditioner. It also posessed the smallest bathroom I have ever seen in my life, however everything worked and it was fine. Breakfast is an additional and very reasonable 10 Euros for the high quality and variety of foods from the buffet. The coffee was delicious. The biggest bonus however, was the helpful and courteous staff. The reception was manned by the deadpan but charming Nicholas while I was there, who was only too happy to make dinner reservations or help with directions to where one wanted to go. The ladies who tended the breakfast room and the cleaning of the rooms were all friendly and smiling. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Liked — The quiet room and comfortable bed and the breakfast
  • Disliked — That my rump hit the wall behind me as I bent over the washbasin to brush my teeth
