“brilliant service. Food let down by starters”
Its very difficult to review a restaurant honestly when you want it to be so much better than it was. We visited on Sunday and the restaurant was very busy so one of the waiters shuffled a couple of tables together to accommodate us which was very helpful. I will give prospective visitors the positive aspects first. The waiter who served us was brilliant very friendly and professional at the same time. The wine was reasonably priced and very good We had three different main courses which were the calzone pizza. A lobster pasta and an arrabbiata pasta which were all perfectly cooked and authentically, we shared a desert of profiteroles which were excellent . My real disappointment relates to the starters. we ordered two bruschettas which were cold and miserly in size, they were also made with very thinly cut French bread rather than anything resembling Italian cuisine, this may sound harsh but at 22 euros I feel as though something should be cooked correctly. To sum up our visit we would return and give the restaurant another chance because overall the service and majority of the meal was very good.
