“A Paris Gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

We normally stay at large luxury hotels, but decided to book at a boutique hotel for our first visit to Paris. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and wanted it to be special. I would say that had we seen the hotel from the street in advance of booking, we may not have stayed there; it has little street presence. However, once you walk through the entry doors, you know this is a quality property.

We were upgraded to a suite which was just lovely. The room was beautifully decorated, smartly organized, clean and quiet (we heard no noise from neighbors or street). The bed was so comfortable -- the a/c worked perfectly and could be regulated to our liking -- the wifi worked flawlessly. The toiletries were of high quality (and smelled great) and we really appreciated the coffee machine in the room. It is in an excellent location within Paris; we walked to almost all the sites and many excellent restaurants were nearby.

The breakfast was plentiful and just delicious; left-over cakes/pastries were free for the taking in the afternoon. The space was clean and nicely decorated. We send our thanks to Anthony who kept the breakfast area in order and just couldn't be nicer. We looked forward to seeing his friendly smiles in the morning!

The conceirge was unbelievably helpful -- from the tons of emails before our stay to all the requests we made while we were there, they were on top of everything, efficient and consistently made outstanding recommendations. Special thanks to Dan and Gilles for their competent assistance and friendliness!

We had an absolutely lovely vacation and staying at La Maison Favart was an integral part of it. When we return to Paris -- this is where we will want to stay!

Thanks go to ALL the staff at La Maison Favart -- they made our Paris vacation incredibly memorable!

This hotel is very stylized, with attentive staff, and a "well-being" pool in the basement that lights up in different colors. Hotel details are fun, fashionable. Still, there are only just so many degrees of violet to be imbibed -- and a sauna that fits two people is still claustrophobic, no matter the curving arc.

Breakfast is better missed -- the neighborhood offers more for less.

I stayed the hotel just one day with my family.

We arrived too early (1:30 PM) and the rooms were not ready.
The reception offered to keep our luggages as a typical service,
in addition, they asked us to have a coffee. I've never experienced.

The rooms are not so wide. You cannot open more than 2 suitcases (around 65 l) in one room.

You can use free Wifi with the ID-PW pair the reception offered. The pair is required for each device.

The location is also nice, a few minutes' walk to Metro stations and easy to walk in Opera area.

Especially, the staffs are very polite and friendly. We've realized that the comments here (in tripadvisor) are correct. I hope the good impression is going on.

We recently stayed at La Maison Favart. It was a pleasent stay with friendly and attentive staff. On arrival we had our bags checked in by the concierge who was really helpful. We then returned at 4pm after some Segway action. A must if you want to see Paris but dont want to walk. The room was an ok size, but a its Paris you cant expect a huge suite. Lovely bathroom, towels and slippers. Bed was amazinf with a good selection of films and room service. Location was really good, 15 min walk to The Lourve. I would give it 4 1/2 stars. i didnt like the fact we had to pay 15 Euros extra for breakfast as its not exactly a cheap hotel. But the breakfast was very nice, a typical Parisan delight. Overall a great place to stay.

Room Tip: We had Room 33. May 35 would be better, this is on the road and we could hear building work.

Comfortable and well appointed. Good location at the mid point of many attractions with a metro station just around the corner. Despite the hotel's size, the breakfast room with honesty bar and complimentary cake and coffee works really well.
The pool was out of action for maintenance during our stay but this was just a minor inconvenience. Lovely relaxing atmosphere after the bustle of downtown Paris.

We booked La Maison Favart months ago after much research and were delighted with our stay. We'd booked a Deluxe Room and requested to overlook the Opera Comique. We stayed in room 52 which although small, was well appointed and beautifully decorated.
Breakfast was gorgeous! We went for the expensive option the first day and took full advantage of the cheeses, cold meats, sausages etc available on top of the pastries, fruits and breads etc. The second day we just went for the express option (just the pastries etc) and it was great to have that option as we were so full still from the previous day's eating!
We thought the location was perfect! We'd got the Roissybus from the airport which drops you about 7 mins walk away from the hotel and runs every 15 minutes -perfect! And although it took about 15-20 mins to walk to the Louvre/Seine that wasn't a problem for us and we really enjoyed wondering through the little streets (and magnificent architecture!) to get there.
If I ever get the opportunity for a child-free weekend in Paris again, I would definitely come back to La Maison Favart!

Very clean well-appointed hotel in a great neighborhood with a Metro station steps away. We stayed in room 33 with a lovely view of the Opera Comique, and were never disturbed by noise. The bathroom was large with a tub and true rainfall shower and was probably, along with the bed, the best feature of the room. The room was small by US standards, but i was expecting that. I would not recommend anything smaller than a Deluxe. The staff was friendly and helpful. Overall I highly recommend. This is not a Four Seasons or Mandarin Oriental, but is a great blue for the money at less than half of the big luxury hotels. We loved the neighborhood as it appeared to be buzzing with younger locals with numerous cafes. Overall a great experience that i would recommend.

Room Tip: I would get at least a deluxe room if you can and ask for one with a tub and shower combo.
