“A relaxing 'Home from home'”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

This small hotel really is like staying with friends - discrete, charming, helpful friends.
Walking distance to Impressionist Galleries, shopping areas and Opera. Numerous restaurants ( follow Concierge recommendations or chose your own spots ) close by. Room was "Paris sized" but beautifully turned out. Bathroom a joy. Breakfast was relaxed, unhurried and left nothing wanting. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. Any concerns? Only one - the dilemma of whether to write a review. The hotel deserves fantastic feedback, but I don't want this 'Secret gem' to change (or be too hard to get a room at!) ....fairness won out.
( Didn't use the Spa - sun in Paris in the Spring kept is outdoors so couldn't rate it! )

The hotel was charming and we enjoyed our stay. The room was small but we had plenty of space (and the bathroom was surprisingly large for the room size). We had a wonderful view of the Opera Comique from our window. I booked this hotel based on the rave reviews from TripAdvisor. It was a lovely hotel but I wouldn't say it was over-the-top amazing.

Small cozy hotel in Opera district - was a real pleasure to stay here during Maison de Object 2013 in January 2013! Defenitely the hotel is worth to stay in Paris! Interior design gave us even insentive to put more attention on the furniture producer who supplied all sofas & armchairs for thier impressive lobby!

Extremely stylish hotel, with caring attentive staff, we had a great couple of days. We were in a room on the first floor over-looking the small square in front of the opera comique. I was worried about noise but it was so peaceful - and quiet there was no need. Its about 50m from the nearest tube Richeliue-drouet, and 10-15 mins walk from the Louvre. It was an ideal base for sightseeing. I was impressed by the honesty bar in the guest lounge, which made a perfect start for an evening dinner expedition.

Room Tip: We had a room above the guest lounge and looking out over the square on the first floor and we didnt...

Boutique hotels with a pool/spa in central Paris are thin on the ground. Whilst small, the Maison Favart is perfectly formed. Staff are the making of it, especially the well-informed concierge. After a quick coffee from the in-room Nespresso, the monsoon shower is the perfect start to a day's exploring. If I were being picky, the spa pool needs to be hotter (take a sauna before at your peril!), the rooms need black-out blinds (esp Room 11 with the street light right outside), and the breakfast is good, but the continental offering is ample; ditch the cooked stuff. But these are small criticisms. When in Paris one should relax, indulge, enjoy - Maison Favart is the perfect tonic.

It may have been quite a challenge to meet expectatipns because La Maison Favart is ranking #1 hotels in Paris according to Tripadvisor. But the hotel was very very good.
I is located a short walk to the Louvre and to the Opera; decorations all over the common areas, breakfast room and rooms are full of charme.
A special thanks the the whole staff is always very friendly and helpful whenever you need.
All in all this is a pearl in the centre of Paris considering that most of hotels in town are for an equivalent amount of money lack charme and very often staff is rude.
Congratulations to the staff and management!

What a wonderful place. The staff couldn't work any harder to help make this place the calm, tranquil little corner of Paris that we experienced. Loved the honesty bar - regularly replenished day and night. Wonderful slices of cake there and free tea/coffee. Also loved the tiny spa - a cure for tired museum worn feet. Worth the money.
