“Comfortable and reasonably priced family hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2011

I've stayed at the Hotel Perreyve on a dozen occasions over 25 years. It's a block from the Luxembourg Gardens and surrounded by some fine small cafes and shops. The Perreyve is nothing fancy. The rooms are generally on the small size and the bathrooms are not large either. Making up for size is the cleanliness of the hotel of its room, the friendliness of the staff and the price point. Right around the corner from the Perreyve is a wonderful old school cafe for breakfast and lunch. There's another cafe that's a little more cutting edge directly across the street. Metro stop is about five blocks.
We'll continue to stay at this nice little inn whenever we're in Paris.

My aunty and I travelled here in September and would say in general the hotel is quite good. The room is nothing special but is kept clean, the staff are fairly friendly however it was a tad overpriced i thought. Great location though, especially since it is located next to the Luxembourg Gardens.

We arrived by taxi at this little hotel and were initially given a room on the 4th floor. The lift is extremely small and we had a hard time getting our luggage up to our room...and our first room was really awful...fabulous view, but not very clean and way too small to accommodate two people with luggage (for 10 days). As soon as we complained, we were switched to a different room on the ground floor (Room 2), which is the the flagship room which you see on their site and we could not have been happier. NOTE: there is only one English TV station (BBC), so we were thankful that have brought along a portable DVD player which was easily hooked up to the TV for watching movies...

Thambi is the concierge/front desk manager and he was AWESOME! Incredibly accommodating and helpful and a sweet person to chat with.

We didn't have breakfast at the Hotel, but we did get tea every morning in our room...

When my feet were swollen & exhausted from hours of walking all day, they had no problem lending me their bucket so I could soak my feet in ice water...

I loved this little place and would definitely recommend it, if you're okay with a 2-3 star place to stay....

I stayed in the Perreyve Hotel for 5 nights. It is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location. The rooms are small, but one expects a small hotel room in Paris. The rooms are very clean and simply decorated. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful with providing us information on sightseeing in Paris, and booked dinner reservations in great restaurants. The location is perfect - a quiet little street, away from the frantic hustle and bustle of the city, with a small fruit/grocery store across the way, a wine shop, and nice restaurants within walking distance. There were several metro stations within a 10 minute walk from the hotel. I will definitely return to this hotel on my next trip to Paris.

I was booked into the hotel by colleagues in the Academy of Science which is about a 25 minute walk away. the ground floor is fine but the room I had was noisy (thin walls), small and in need of renovation. The tiny, stained shower was OK but instead of toilet paper there was a box of toilet tissue - this is 2010 for heaven's sake! The staff were pleasant though not particularly welcoming. Overall - never again.

This place is fine for a short stay. My room was small but clean. The renovations that people complained about last year have clearly been finished now, and the general condition of the place is OK. Staff are pretty friendly, apart from a grumpy man on the first day; the night-time porter, by contrast, was very kind. Breakfast, for an extra 9 euros, leaves a lot to be desired...

A friend booked this hotel because she had stayed here during a previous visit. This place was a dump. The lobby was nice enough, but they were painting, and the paint fumes were everywhere. The stairs where covered with tarps for painting making using them very dangerous, and the extremely small elevator (one person and luggage) was terrible. The carpet in the room was filthy with stains, and I had to put an extra blanket under one side of my twin bed because the mattress was so worn out, I kept rolling to the side. The staff was the only redeeming factor, very friendly and tried to be helpful. Although the bathroom seemed clean enough, it didn't make up for the gross carpeting and the fact that ongoing construction started early in the morning. Not a bad location, but I would not stay here again, even when all the improvements are completed.
