“This hotel should be rated much higher”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 3, 2011

This is one of my favourite's in Paris , this little boutique hotel has a 4 star rating ,with lovely spacious rooms by Paris standards , with clean well presented bathroom ,and stylish bedrooms , tea , coffee making facility ,safe, air conditioning, mini bar, and room service. The hotel is in a great area for shopping, and close to the metro. The only thing that I would change about the hotel would be to paint the corridor in a lighter colour, as a female solo traveller I do not like dark corridors . Also for my taste I like a softer bed . But apart from these minor things , I love this hotel , and will differently stay at Le Vignon 8 again.

This was our first time to Paris and we were very happy with the location of this hotel as you can walk to many of the main tourist attractions and the Metro. The bus stop for the hop on hop off buses is also only 5 minutes away.It is generally comfortable but it was the cheerful women on reception during the day who really made our stay so pleasant as they are so warm and helpful, with very good English. We did not eat breakfast there but bought what we needed from a small supermarket on a nearby boulevard. Highly recommend this hotel!!

We were a party of 14, the hotel staff were helpful and friendly.
The rooms were well appointed, small but very comfortable. our quite room at the rear had a six foot bed.

The breakfast room has approximatly 24 covers so it could get busy but we did not have any problems. Good 4 stars. but do not expect big hotel chain type of building.

It's location make it very central for shopping or tourisum.

I was able to use this hotel as a base to visit all the main tourist attractions in Paris and then do several days work at some nearby offices.

The staff were really friendly - fluent in english and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we had a good stay. There were a number of nearby genuine french restaurants which provided good service too.

Highly recommended for a cultural experience in Paris.

Room Tip: Fourth Floor view over the street was very nice

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel Le Vignon. I thought the decor was very nice, our room, on the 6th (top) floor was very nice and more roomy than I expected. It was a twin superior (or deluxe room, I can't recall) and it had plenty of room for the beds (which were close together). At the foot of the bed, there was an arm chair. There was also a breakfast bar type of table with two small seats, and then yet another arm chair in the corner. The bathroom was large and everthing was extremely clean and updated. There was a mini bar and also a coffee pot in the room. The hotel is air conditioned but the a/c was not working during our stary. Luckily, it was cool at night and we slept with the windows open.
The hotel is located on a quiet side street just about a block from the Madelaine. The location is perfect if you want to stay on the Right Bank. You can walk to most of the main attractions quite easily. Also nice is the fact that on the same street as the hotel there are several cafe's and restaurants so that it is easy to grap a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The hotel doesn't really have a bar, although I believe they serve some beverages in the lobby area. As a guest, you get 30 minutes of free internet, but after that you must pay for it. I see that as the only drawback to this hotel and I woud definitely either stay there again, or refer a friend.

Note: if you are tall, you probably don't want a room on the top floor as those rooms on the street side are "in the eaves" and therefore one side of the ceiling is sloped. Might be difficult for a taller person.

Room Tip: 6th floor rooms are in the eaves.

We stayed at the hotel Vignon for 1 night. We were looking for a nice location that was clean and had some luxury to it. Sadly we felt ripped off by the lack of facilities in the room at this hotel.

We booked at booking.com and paid €220 for the night. The room was nicely decorated and was clean. On the down side the room was really quite small and there was a small fridge pushed into the corner for the mini bar. On top of the fridge was a tray with tea/coffee. It felt very huddled together last minute. There was a small 'coffee' table with two office-like chairs at the end of the bed. There was no desk area or table to speak of. For a 4 star hotel I would have expected more and especially for the money we paid. The Internet was also €10 per hour which in the 21st century is extortionate.

I would not stay here again. The location is good and it is clean but There are other well located hotels for better overall value.

This little hotel was in a great location! Almost smack bang in the centre of Paris and very easy to get to on foot. We really enjoyed our stayand would go there again, but I wouldn't say it was a four star. It is a liitle bit overpriced, but isn't everything in Paris.

During our stay the airconditioning was out of order which made the rooms very nosey as we had to have the windows open. We were offered breakfast as a compensation as we were checking out, but there was little left. It would have been nice to be asked earlier, but hey ho. We loved Paris and had a great time and the fridge in the room was very useful as we could put all of our drinks we had bought from the supermarket in there.
