Someone opens the door for us. We are 15 minutes late having headed in the wrong direction when we got out of the Metro. Not a problem. We're given a choice of tables. Every table seems suitable and far enough away from others so as not to have to hear their conversations which seemed to be mostly in French anyway.
The menu is simple enough. You have to decide how many courses to have. We know from seeing their menu on their website that we'd go with the four courses. Amuse bouche type dishes seemed to start appearing almost right away and little extras continued through the meal including dessert.
Each dish is creatively presented with flavors and textures that let you know the person in the kitchen is first rate. I could not imagine eating better even at restaurants charging three or more times what we paid. The sommelier pleasantly describes each glass of wine which seems perfected paired with that I'm eating. Pacing between courses is spot on. The meal lasting just over two hours is one of the most enjoyable dining experiences we have ever had.
