Happened to stumble on this little gem, ambience is very homely and warm, service was quick and easy to order, menu translated into English and good half bottles of wine available.
It specialises in duck/foie gras dishes from the SE of France.
We chose the menu Délice and menu terroir with which we chose onion soup and foie gras for entree, potted duck thigh and duck cassoulet for mains and dessert du jour.
The foie gras was noted as award winning and we can see why, creamy, meaty, buttery... All the things you expect if you like foie gras. The onion soup was steamy hot, perfect for a cold day.
The cassoulet was so hearty and I was unable to finish it so as to leave room for dessert. Floating island was the dessert of the day, and although the meringue was soft as a cloud the only downside was the creme anglais seemed to be missing something....
All in all, a nice little bustling place. We didn't see many tourists here and we'd definitely go back again
