“WORST HOTEL”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Horrible, horrible hotel.

- The room looked NOTHING like the photos
- Bathroom was dirty (pubic hair on the floor), including the toilet seat, that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages
- WiFi did not work. Even after several complaints, they did not fix it.
- Heating did not work, and blankets were thin
- Apart from the 2 French reception staff I encountered, the others were RUDE, UNHELPFUL, and was simply not bothered about their guests.
- Location could be more central.

Definitely would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!

Not a good experience in the hotel, the room was small but the location is good. Repulique is very near. Very expensive if compared to the services they are offering. Lift is only till 5th floor so if you are on top floor one floor you need to go by stairs.

Karim was nice, but the others are smug and uncaring. The facilities are appalling, and when you dare mention the 8 or 9 things wrong with the room, they simply reply, "This is no a place." Sorry, but you don't need to be in a palace to have a toilet seat that isn't crumbling pressboard from who-knows-what wetness, or a mattress that doesn't feel 40 years old, or yelling chambermaids banging doors, or wifi that boots you off every 3 minutes. This will go down as one of the few regrets in my life.

Very small rooms and bath room. Stayed 2 nights in Quad and 1 night in a triple rooom. Staff is ok. Halal shops and hop on hop off bus stop is close by. The beds are small. No aircon so have to open the windows and bear the outside noise. No ceiling fan as well, all they provided was a dirty portable fan. Lift is also small only for two and goes upto 5 floors only. Our quad room was in 6th floor so had to carry the bags up narrow stairs. I would avoid this hotel for next time. Not recommended.

OMG.....the worst room I have ever stayed in by far. Little more than a bed width wide. Very shabby with dirty carpet, no shower rail mouldy grout......seriously could have cried when I walked in. Complained at reception and was told it was because I had only booked a standard room so what did I expect..........a certain standard I suggested. Told was fully booked but could move us for the final night of our stay.....we did not want the hassle of moving on the last night. The room looked our onto a wall with peeling paint about a couple of yards from the window and only way to guess the weather conditions was to look up to a postage size square of sky between the buildings. The hotel is in an ideal location and maybe the other more superior rooms are ok but ours room 46 was atrocious! I have taken photos but can't find how to attach then to this review.

Room Tip: Do NOT book a standard room ie no 46

We spent 4 nights at the hotel in the beginning of july. The family room was under the roof top and it was very warm, even with the windows open. The standard was simple but clean and most important close to the lively Republique. We only slept there and spent the days and evenings sightseeing and it fulfilled our city vacation needs well. The hotel personnel helped out with airport shuttle and hop on hop off. We had the continental breakfast for 7 € per person and they were very service minded, so do not hesitate to ask for corn flakes and milk if you like that.

Room Tip: We booked the room on the Internet and would probably have got a better room if we would have called...

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights in May 2014. The room was quite small but was modern and clean. Our room was serviced everyday with fresh towels and amenities which was a pleasant surprise. The two reception guys were good at speaking English which was great. The hotel is right around the corner from the Republique train station which is one of the biggest in Paris with all the main lines passing through it. The area around the hotel was great, it has great restaurants and boutiques around and also 3 pharmacies. There is also a canal and a park nearby for a sunny day. We loved our stay here
