“Absolutely fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2012

We spent 6 wonderful nights at this fantastic hotel. For newbies to Paris the location was brilliant and the hotel was a lovely slice of French chic. Easy access to everything along with great staff, spacious and extremely comfortable rooms. I would recommend this hotel highly for old, young, able and less able people. Typical of European hotels in that it is a shower over the bath but even with some physical disabilities I was able to manage this aspect without issue. We would return in a heartbeat.

This was our first trip to the real Paris ( Had taken daughters to Disneyland Paris a good few years ago).Really cannot fault a thing with this little gem of a Hotel. We loved the Latin Quarter and the whole area very much, everything is very convenient .The accomodation is superb, bigger and better than we anticipated. The decor was very French ( which we loved) and totally spotless and very very comfortable. The inclusion of mini kitchen with all conveniences was handy, but the local area has plenty of cafes and bistros etc if you are intending to be waited on hand and foot ! The Hotel style is very classic and the only thing that tops decor/quality of furnishings etc is the staff. They made us so welcome and were so very friendly that you immediately thought , well we must have been here before! Nothing was too much trouble and guidance on where to eat and how to get to places was first class. We left feeling we had made some very good new friends. We will DEFINITELY return and recommend this Hotel to one and all. Go on try it you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Go for the superior room

The room was much larger than expected. (we were prepared for tiny European rooms) We had a two room set up, with a little mini kitchen. The room was absolutely perfect. It gave us the exact classic style "Parisian" room we had hoped for. By the way, It really does look like the picture on the web site.

The unforeseen advantage was the hotel's location. We had never been to Paris, and were a little unsure of where to book. This was perfect. The Latin quarter and the St Germain area are def the more social areas. Lots of buzz, and stuff going on.

The room was a tad noisy (walls were thin) but not that big of a deal. We only at breakfast at the hotel once, It was fine, but I would def recommend going out and getting a sidewalk cafe breakfast. Don't sweat it, they are everywhere.

This is absolutely a perfect place for romantics in Paris. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the second floor. They have an elevator, but it's kinda slow...and small, but...

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. We reserved a superior room which was spacious, beautifully appointed, and exceptionally clean. The kitchenette and large modern bathroom were definitely a plus. We were there for an extended stay and having a bedroom and living area with access to a balcony was heavenly! The staff speaks English and was welcoming and very helpful. They arranged for our transportation to and from the airport, made dinner reservations and helped us navigate the city. Also, the hotel's location is ideal. It's close to many sights, the RER, metro and Batobus which makes getting around Paris very easy. We highly recommend the Hotel Residence Henri 4 as the perfect place to stay while visiting Paris.

Room Tip: Reserve a superior room/apartment with a balcony. We had room 22 and loved it!

Only steps away from the lively Rue Des Ecoles and all the busy attractions in this center of Paris neighborhood, the Residence Henri IV is a peaceful place that feels more like an apartment than a hotel. Our room had two rooms, a little kitchen, and a very nice balcony overlooking the little park next door. We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony each morning before heading out to see the city. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. Wifi worked fine. The price was extremely reasonable. We will definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved this hotel. An unassuming exterior and small entry make one wonder if it will be acceptable. Get over it! If you are looking for a five star hotel with a huge lobby, restaurants, spa and numerous facilities, this is not your place. But if you are in Paris to see the city, eat the food and wallow in the ambiance, it just doesn't get any better. The staff is friendly, helpful, and bend over backward to make your stay enjoyable. They are as accomodating as the most attentive concierge at any five star hotel and will make reservations, calls and the like in an effort to make your visit enjoyable. I especially want to applaud Hicham, without whose help I might still be trying to determine my seat on my return flight. The hotel is immaculately maintained with all plaster work in perfect condition, painted and well maintained. We had a superior room which is a two room suite (sitting room with balcony and bedroom), both of which were beautifully decorated and maintained to perfection. I honestly believe that accomodations of this caliber would be over 1000 Euro per night in a five star hotel if they were even available. It's like having your own pied-a-terre in a perfect location. Excellent restaurants abound in the area, the metro is convenient to the hotel, Notre Dame is a few blocks away and major museums and historical venues are within very reasonable walking distance. The place was perfect.

Room Tip: They have 13 rooms total. The superior is a two room suite with a reasonable bathroom and a hallway...
