My family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed here for 3 nights on arrival to Europe and then another 2 nights on our return trip. There's a big Tripadvisor community that frequents this hotel, as can be seen by the signs on the desk and the ipads in the lobby with Tripadvisor icons ready for net searching. I also came across this hotel via Tripadvisor, and was glad I did - I have previously been to Paris on a conference and stayed at a big impersonal 5-star hotel, and this smaller chic property located within the Latin Quarter, I felt, gave my family a much more authentic Paris experience.
We were able to walk around the St Germain neighbourhood, see the Sorbonne University, stroll to Pont Des Arts and also Ile Cite visiting Notre Dame cathedral. While I do realise that the Latin Quarter restaurants have become a tad touristy, we did enjoy some fine meals a sort stroll from the hotel (How's mussels in white wine as a starter, duck confit as a 2nd course followed by crème brulee all for 15 euros - Le Latin restaurant got a couple of visits from us)
I would also recommend the Stademan free guided walking tours of Paris, which start at St Michael's square at 11am each day, just a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
We booked a comfort suite, which was nice and roomy. While the rooms don't come with kettles, we were loaned one by the hotel without any problems for both stays. Otherwise, guests are entitled to use the free coffee machine in the lobby - the kids loved the hot chocolate every day! Wifi is provided free to the rooms as an additional bonus (just a slight technical issue where you need to re-log in if you lose the connection).
Definitely would stay here again
