My wife and I always thoroughly research our trips and i'd say we chose well with this hotel. We landed at Orly airport and took an Air France shuttle bus ( 20 Euros each for a return ticket) to the Arc de Triomphe. From there it was a leisurely 15 minute walk down Blvd Haussman to our Hotel. Our room was somewhat (although not TOO), small as one expects in Paris,,comfortable, with a bathtub which we loved. You will find the staff excellent and friendly. Because it is a smaller boutique Hotel (24 rooms) you will always have time for some friendly conversation at the front desk. They all seemed to enjoy the conversation (English or, as in my case, very limited French) and and were eager to give you useful travel / dining tips. The housekeeping and breakfast cafe staff are also very friendly and efficient and you will be provided a decent breakfast (cheeses, pastries, cereals, boiled eggs, fresh meats, yogurts, juices) every morning. Being from Canada, the morning coffee was a must and i'd say it was one of the best we had all week. A main reason for choosing this Hotel was it's location. It is a 25 min walk to the Eiffel tower and about 25 min walk .as well to the Louvre/ Place de Concorde, with a great many interesting things to see in between. We walked a lot, mainly travelled on Champs Elysee or Blvd Haussman to span the central city, and found getting around to be no problem. We did use the hop-on-hop-off bus (L'Open Tour) for 3 days to get to do some sightseeing further out. We paid a little over 40 Euro's each for these passes which also allow you to use the Seine River Batobus hop-on-hop-off river boat as well. There is a bus stop within 3 min walk of Hotel Arc Elysees on Champs Elysees. Also within a minutes walk of the Hotel are restaurants, convenience stores, wine, and cafes. All was very convenient. I would not only recommend this Hotel, but would stay here again myself if returning to Paris.
