“Location Location Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2012

I have recently returned from a five night stay in Paris. I went with my parents and booked two rooms in the Hotel Cecilia. It was my first trip to Paris so I didn't really have a feel for where best to stay, however we could not have picked a better located hotel.

The Hotel is a few minutes walk from the Paris Metro so was ideally situated as you then had easy access to anywhere in the Paris area: alternatively it was only a five minute stroll to the top of the Champs Elyse.

Although only a stones throw from the Arche de Triomphe, the hotel was quiet and had a certain charm to it. The staff could not have been more helpful, they all spoke excellent English. They happily booked restaurants for us and were always patient and accommodating.

The rooms were very clean, modern and surprisingly spacious for Paris! Our rooms were at the front of the hotel but at no time were we troubled by road noise. My only minor criticism was some noise at night from within the hotel. I can highly recommend this hotel as an excellent base for your trip to Paris

Room Tip: We had ground floor rooms behind the reception and at about 3am each morning you could hear furnitur...

We loved this hotel. We just arrived home from the Hotel Cecilia yesterday, and I could hardly wait to write this review. This is a wonderful hotel just steps away from the Arc de Triomphe...super easy to find, especially for any first-timer to Paris. Four friends and I planned this trip months ago, and we were absolutely delighted with this hotel. We highly recommend the Hotel Cecilia.
PROS....great location! We were steps from the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, and the metro. Breakfast is wonderful; it was a perfect way to start the day. The staff is so helpful, friendly, and welcoming. A quiet hotel! Comfortable rooms with lovely bathrooms, and lots of warm water and great water pressure. User-friendly website which helped us with reservations. Air France bus service is just around the corner....simply could not be easier! That bus was a joy to take, to and from the airport. No need for an extra taxi charge to another hotel. FYI..we ordered, paid for, and printed our Air France/Les Cars bus tickets online before leaving the U.S. to save time. The Hotel Cecilia is just steps from the Metro, so you always have easy access to the subway. Some rooms that face the front of the hotel have balconies. If you want a real treat, pay a little extra for one of the rooms facing MacMahon Avenue so you can have a side view of the Arc de Triomphe. That is a truly exceptional view----day or night. The rooms in the back of the hotel face a courtyard, and that area seemed especially quiet.
We have one little suggestion for lunch. We enjoyed lunch at the Monte Carlo restaurant one block away on Wagram Ave. They have delicious food options at very reasonable prices. Daily lunch specials around 10 and 12,80 Euros.
We have such fond memories of the Hotel Cecilia and the surrounding neighborhood; this hotel was one of the main highlights of our trip!

Room Tip: Some rooms that face MacMahon Ave. have balconies. Pay a little extra for one of them.

This hotel is around 300 yds from the Air France airport shuttle bus,so no drama getting from airport to hotel, the bus leaves for the airport a quater to and a quater past the hour.
The hotel staff are very polite and efficient, we arrived at 11.00, our room obviously wasn't ready so our cases were looked after then taken to the room when it was ready, although small our room was very well presented, lashings of hot water !!!, you only want somewhere to sleep anyway, the beds were very comfortable and the room temperature was comfortable.
The contenental breakfast had everything you want, if you leave hungry it's your own fault.
Check out was easy with a secure room provided for your cases if you have a late evening flight or train, I would recommend this hotel we had a smashing experiance here and will definatly use it again due to its location.

Also, the inside rooms are so quite,no traffic sound

Room Tip: select a room away from the street, at breakfast take a good look around before starting your meal

Staff were very friendly and informative throughout our 6 night stay. Breakfast was very good. You find accommodation like this hard to surpass in the centre of Paris

I picked this hotel because of it's location. It's almost right at the Arc de Triomphe and I wanted to be there because I was running in the Paris Marathon which starts just on the other side of the Arc, at the Champs Elysee and the finish line for that race is within walking distance. And there's a metro right there at the arc. I couldn't have asked for a better location. Clean, accomodating personnel, free wi-fi, acceptable breakfast.

We stayed 3 nights beginning April, had 2 double rooms as travelled with our kids, and can highly recommend this small hotel. Fantastic location, great breakfast, free wifi, aircon in rooms, public parking right in front and friendly service. Only smaller minus is the small beds, but it seems to be common in Paris. Recommend Italian restaurant Cecar in the parallel street in front of the hotel.

It was really great our stay at Cecilia last December because this hotel is an oasi of relax and kindness. Great buffet breakfast and free Wi-fi. Rooms are small but it's very usual in Paris. The position is perfect if you are arriving from airports with Air France Buses or if you want to use subway because stops are really close to the hotel.
