This was a really poor hotel, I can't recommend a thing about it except that it's very convenient to the Metro. The room was incredibly small--there was probably 1 foot between the bed and the wall. No closet--just an alcove with a shelf and clothing rod; only 4 hangers and they wouldn't give us any extras. We asked for extra pillows and got arguments instead; I ended up taking some pillows from another room when it was being cleaned. The breakfast cost 8 euros (right now about $13) and was extremely ordinary. There is a room coffee maker but they were inconsistent about restocking with coffee/cream each day. No fridge. The internet access was broken for the entire 6 days of our stay. A/C worked well and despite being on a busy street there was adequate soundproofing so you could sleep. The worst part was when we left. We asked the desk clerk to call us a cab to arrive at 12:30 to take us to Gare Lyon--just a short hop, it should have been less than 10 euros for the trip. She told the cab to come at 11:30 instead. When we got downstairs the cab was parked in front WITH THE METER RUNNING, had been there almost 1/2 hour, and there already a 15 euro bill before we even set foot inside! The clerk refused to take any responsibility and retreated into her "I don't speak English" mode. Because we had a lot of luggage and a train to catch we took the cab but ended up having a ridiculous bill to pay. Not recommended at all!
