“Home away from Home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

The Hotel is situated in a pleasant neighbourhood with easy access to transport and good restaurant/ eating options. Yes, my room wasn't huge but it was clean and perfect for my 10 night stay. I really felt that the staff were superb and thoroughly caring and professional. Marie and Julien, in particular, were superb and assisted me to revive my French speaking skills. They really made the experience of being in Paris special. The capacity to care for and engage with guests is critical in my opinion and this hotel was truly a ' home away from home' for me in these last ten nights.

Stayed at this hotel for a few days and found its only pro to be its location--close to subways and within walking distance of Notre Dame and the Louvre. Unfortunately the room's are extremely tiny and were not well kept. We found dirty walls, broken furniture and a decrepit tub; we had to stack our luggage on top of each other and the closet only had enough space for a few coats. The breakfast at the hotel was good, but it was the same offerings everyday. We would not stay there again and it's a shame, because this place has lots of potential. The staff was helpful, but like most of the French we met, are too troubled to smile. BTW, if you stay here, make sure you ask for the do not disturb sign, the doors have no interior security latch and the cleaning lady will give you 0.5 seconds to respond before she comes in!

Well priced hotel in a very nice part of the town. Close to good subway locations and in a nice street near the jardin and great restaurants. Short walking distance to Notre Dame and Pantheon.

Very nice and friendly personell. Small rooms, but that is standard in Paris. Overall a good bargain.

Stayed 4 nights and did not want to leave. The staff are wonderful and so helpful in providing local knowledge of shops, resteraunts, attractions and local transport options.
Rooms are not large but serviceable and pretty much standard for France. I was told that they will be redecorated in 2014 Jan-Mar. Barely 50 m to metro station. Really nice restraunt close- turn right out of entry, take 2nd right and go up hill.restraunt is on left of square. Supermarket is left out of entry and walk barely 5 mins. Health food shop just next door to supermarket.

Room Tip: Rooms on 5th Floor are quieter.

This hotel was perfect for our needs. We had room only for 3 nights in February. The room was small & bathroom pretty tight as to be expected in Paris. That said, it was clean and the staff were extremely friendly. We got a great recommendation for a local restaurant just around the corner & an extremely friendly welcome. When trying to print off our boarding passes before we left and having the trouble the gentleman in reception would not give up until he got them printed for us. The hotel is v. close to the subway, about a 10min walk from Notre Dame and is surrounded by plenty of shops and bakerys. There is a bustling bar / restaurant street v. near the hotel also which was recommended by the hotel staff & has a huge choice of restaurants and bars. I would recommend this hotel for travellers that want somewhere convenient, friendly, clean and pleasant.

We were very happy with our stay at this hotel. We loved the area and the access to the subway . Was within walking distance of Notre Dame and the shopping streets, St. Germain des pres and Rue Rivoli, Boulevard St. Michel and many more.
Across the street is Arenes dr Lutece, through a walkway, dates back to the 1st century bc. Also close to 74 Rue Cardinal Lemoine were Ernest Hemingway lived while in Paris. This is a very interesting area.
Back to the Hotel.
Our room was small but well kept. We did not find the street below noisy. The room had coffee and tea, a mini bar, full bathroom, hair dryer, free wifi. The closet was small but sufficient.
The staff were wonderful. Very helpful and always willing to give directions and recommendations.
The breakfast was included with our room and was very nice. Eggs, bacon, sausage, yogurt, juice, coffee.tea , cereals, fruit salad, breads, cheese. Alot of nice selection.
It was nice to eat and get on with our day of sightseeing and enjoying walking around Paris.
We would stay here again. I recommend it highly.
If you want a big spacious room, you will need to stay somewhere else. if you are OK with a small efficient space then you would love this hotel.

We booked this hotel as part of a Eurostar package. It's well positioned close to two metro lines and near to the lively and attractive Rue Mouffetard street market. Thanks to skilful photography for the website the rooms look spacious. Actually, they are small and rather cramped, but being realistic one isn't going to get spacious rooms for this price in central Paris. Rooms overlooking the Rue Monge are noisy with traffic but bearable. However, the rooms are well equipped, there's a decent en-suite bathroom, free wifi is nice and the breakfast at 14 euros extra isn't cheap but is plentiful and good quality. Friendly staff. Would happily return here.
