Room – was clean, not too small – you could walk around the bed! Bathroom was modern and clean, my wife was happy about that.

Breakfast was typical continental, simple, fresh and well stocked. Room was quiet even though it over looked the street (good double glazing).

Staff was very helpful. Night manager on our arrival at 10 PM (thanks to rail strike) suggested a local café – we arrived to join into a French sing along/open mike night. It really helped set our mood for the next 4 days. The breakfast “madam” was helpful and restocked even when we arrived to breakfast at 09:50.

Location was good. Easy walk to metro. Also close to local markets (we followed the old French ladies to find them).

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, not our first time in Paris, but we do like this particular area and wanted to stay closer to the Latin Quarter. This hotel provided a good balance between proximity to main areas whilst being in a quiet location. Metro link was good and the Rue Mouffetard was a 3 minute walk. this in itself was a real pleasure and a must if visiting this area. The hotel also had a clean neat feel, with helpful staff. Breakfast on the steep side (14 Euro per person) but plenty of outlets nearby. The only downside was there were improvement works taking place, affecting the back of the hotel and windows could not be opened- a big minus in warm weather. However, following request to be accommodated at the front, there was no problem and the rest of the stay was very good overall.

we stayed for one night in March. Of course the rue Mouffetard area is a great pleasure. Our twin was not available but the staff person was so nice about it, she upgraded us to a "prestige" room immediately and offered us free breakfasts and copious sincere excuses. Thus the beds are mostly full size, not queen. the regular double rooms are normal small PAris size, the prestige quite a bit larger, with separated toilet. Well decorated, well furnished? Breakfast was high quality croissants etc, served in the room. i did not see the buffet downstairs. If you go on Venere.com you can get good deals, the rack rate seems a bit high for me/

We booked a 3 night special for my 40th Birthday and were not disappointed. We struggled with deciding on whch area and obviously which hotel. Our budget was tight but we wanted the best we could for our plummeting pound !
The Hotel is just off the Rue Mouffetard but is on a relatively quiet back street so a front of hotel room was taken. They are having work done on the roof at the rear at the moment so our 2nd floor front was perfect. The room size was great for Paris, two singles squeezed together rather than a double but that was no problem. The shower was fast and strong and joy of joys a bath, deep and relaxing was just the ticket after being on your feet all day in January ! Staff were exceptional and spoke English pretty well. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful but get an inclusive breakfast deal as 14E for a buffet is kinda steep. No tea making in rooms unfortunately.
Area is good and eating out easy. Port Royal RER is 1km away and easily walkable, right through a market on the way, and this station connects direct to Gard du Nord and CDG...brilliant. Gobelins metro is 500m away and we bought a 10 ticket bundle for 16E at CDG on the way in, it proved just enough for 3 days.
A great little hotel in a old part of the city within walking distance of Montparnasse, Notre Dame and the Sorbonne/Pantheon.
