“Stylish chic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I've stayed in the same area of Paris before although in much larger hotels but will make the Duminy Vendome my "go to" place from now on. Our room was large by Parisienne standards and very stylish. Only one complaint re the location of electrical points which were a bit odd and a little inconvenient.
The breakfast buffet was served in a very chic converted cellar and featured a wonderful array of dishes.
The location is close to many landmarks, museums and transport. We arrived early morning and were able to enjoy a leisurely stroll through the Tuilleries whilst waiting for our room. There was also free tea and coffee in the lounge area.
We particularly enjoyed the tiny bar situated a few doors away from the hotel - they made us feel welcome each day and we had quite a few laughs with locals mainly over our pitiful French language skills!
The Duminy staff were very helpful and efficient but managed to maintain a personsalised atmosphere.

Stayed for three nights while in Paris after a river cruise. Our room was small but adequate but the hotel was located in an ideal spot, easy walking to major museums attractions and restaurants, would stay there again if in Paris. Might select a bigger room, at additional cost. Our friends did just that at an additional 50 euro per night, but we were already unpacked and settled and didn't want the inconvenience of moving the next day. The breakfast each morning was a buffet; very good and the setting was Art Deco. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

Room Tip: Our room was small, but adequate. Our friends upgraded to a larger room that was very charming. Th...

Just completed my 6th stay at Duminy. Each time it feels like my Parisian home. So very convinent to central Paris, walk to Opera, Galleries Lafyette, Place Concorde. Within 200 meters of Metro from their line 1 will take you anywhere a tourist needs to go.
Best part of Hotel is the staff from manager Yanuck, to desk people Ida, Lucie, Elizabeth, Vivian. They continually work to make your stay the best experience possible. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else when in Paris.-Mike H from Connecticut

My first trip to Paris was all I expected thanks to the staff at Duminy Vendome. We arrived early but were in our room, showered and rested before noon. Our room was clean and comfortable. We arrived on Bastille Day and Vivian was very helpful making sure we knew where to go and enjoy the day. Maps were available and the free wifi service a bonus. Everything was in walking distance.
The breakfasts were wonderful. Plenty of choice and everything so fresh and tasty - all served in the lovely, white tiled cellar.
Thank you so much for making Paris a trip to remember.

Room Tip: Not sure as our room was lovely on 3rd floor.

Recently stayed at the Duminy Vendome for 4 nights....... lovely Hotel, recently some refurbishment I would think, and some continuing during our stay. Ideal position to visit the Louvre and many other attractions, plenty of Cafe's nearby, many Souvenir shops - plus many upmarket brand name shops around the corner...Rolex, Lacoste etc., etc.

Pro's: Friendly, helpful staff who would go out of their way to offer assistance, and provide maps etc. Lovely Breakfast dining rooms, located in the old cellar, (mind the steep stairs !!)

Con's: the smallest room I have ever encountered, if you are claustrophobic then either the 1st Floor or the 3rd Floor rooms are not for you. Very tiny, suitcase had to be stored in the bathroom. Electronic safe which was provided for valuables etc., was at floor level in the wardrobe, which meant that we had to lay on the floor with a torch to see what code to press.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room on the ground floor, i.e. Room 002 or 008 or similar. Our rooms on the 1st floo...

Dear Sir,
Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review.
Indeed, the central location of the Hotel Duminy Vendôme is ideal for sightseeing but also to shop and discover all the little cafés located in our neighborhood.
It is a great pleasure for us to read such good feedbacks about our staff, who keeps trying to give his best to answer all kind of questions or requests. We have forwarded your compliments to them, and do thank you on their behalf.
Our Standard rooms may appear small to some of non-European guests that is why we will keep advising our clients to reserve one of our Deluxe rooms.
Upgrading your room to a Deluxe room is worth it for people like you seeking for more space and larger beds, we do have Deluxe room on each floor. Next time do not hesitate to reserve that room type.
Best Regards
Ida C

I used to stay in Westminster, but after the last experience I think I will move to Duminy. It is such a lovely hotel. Nice staff, great location (walking distance to everything), delicious breakfast. If you want a taxi, you can catch one just around the corner at Place Vendome. We were able to occupy our rooms quite early and also a later check-out has been arranged with no surcharge. Such a nice gesture which helped us much.
Nicely surprised upon check-out by a small gift. The lovely fragrance is now a great memory of Paris and h. Duminy whenever I open my drawer. Thank you, we come again!

I paid $1815 australian dollars for a single room with breakfast for 4 nights. The room was dreadful, so small and claustrophobic, single bed uncomfortable and my feet hung out the bottom. I was a single middle aged woman on holiday. My agent recommended the hotel as she had stayed there. The single room on their website depicts a more spacious room. Mine was next
to the lift and the noise if it kept me awake. I asked for a better room and they gave me another just the same. Totally felt my holiday was ruined by having to come back to that room everyday. Breakfast was nice and staff pleasant.

Dear Madam,

I feel sorry that your only contribution on Tripadvisor is to share your bad experience at our hotel.

As you said your travel agent recommended our hotel to you after staying here herself. They probably had a standard room for one or two persons and not a real single room. We do not make a secret of the size of our single room (11 m² ideal for solo travelers and short stay. It’s also a good deal for people who want to stay in the center of Paris for a reasonable price). Our website shows exactly the setting and measurements of all our rooms, a virtual tour is available.

Our front desk team offered you to contact your agent to try to see if she was willing to upgrade your room for a Standard or Deluxe room, you declined that option then we offered you to change room for another single room, what you’ve accepted after seeing the room.

We feel sorry that Duminy-Vendôme experience did not match with your expectation and we sincerely hope that you will come back to the Hotel Duminy-Vendôme.

Best regards,
Ida C
