“perfectly located”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

The hotel is perfectly located just few minutes of walk from gardens and Louvre. A lot of shops and restaurants in teh nearby. The receiption is helpful. The breakfast is pretty good with meat and chease selection, sausages. Rooms are very small but that is rather usual for the center of Paris.

From the moment we set foot in the hotel my wife and I received wonderful service from polite and helpful staff at the Hotel Duminy Vendome. The staff all spoke English, were exceedingly polite and helpful and pleasant to deal with during our 7 night stay.

Reception staff were only too willing to assist with advise about restaurants nearby for dinner and offering to assist with travel plans in and around Paris, a very nice team of people including the staff who managed the daily breakfast service which was available in a lovely old wine cellar.

Its a nicely appointed, clean & well priced hotel with good air-conditioning and excellent free WiFi The rooms are soundproofed so it was quiet and great for sleeping in what is a busy and noisy city till the wee hours.

Handy to Metro stations and is close to key sites of Paris so a walk is not a problem also.

We will stay there again - for sure a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Be straight up making clear what you need before you book, don't take the cheapest option and th...

Having stayed at Hotel Duminy Vendome twice, I love the fact that this simple, elegant, boutique hotel nestles in amongst some of the most expensive hotels in the city, in an expensive part of town - but is affordable. Almost alongside the Louvre Museum, across the river from Musee D'Orsay and 20 mins walk from Notre Dame, the hotel is also smack in the middle of some very classy shops and restaurants. To set you up for the day, the hotel also offers a truly excellent breakfast in the northern European style, (cold meats, yoghurts, fresh fruit salad, cheese, hot food, meusli, fresh-squeezed juice) rather than just coffee and croissant - and at the moment it is included in the room-rate - another bonus. I'll stay there again !

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the courtyard/back area, rather than the street

As soon as the 4 of us arrived on their doorstep, struggling with big suitcases to hoist up the small flight of steps at the hotel entry, the desk personnel came running ( well, maybe not literally but fast!) to take those bags from us and welcome us to the hotel. This level of helpfulness continued the entire stay as they held our luggage in a locked room while we played tourist, made recommendations for sight-seeing, provided maps, and made phone calls to make sure our reservations and pick-ups for the next day were confirmed. We so appreciated their friendly attitude and care! The elevator was tiny and our room had a few oddities, such as a safe that was directly on the closet floor (want to lie on the floor to use it?! We did!) and a bathroom with only half a shower door and no counter space, despite having room for it, but with the way we were welcomed and greeted, a traveler can overlook a lot! Merci beaucoup, DV - nous retournerons avec plaisir!

Had a wonderful two night stay in August. Beautiful boutique hotel in fantastic location. We planned to use the Metro, but found that we walked everywhere. Lovely spacious room, friendly staff. Crisp bed linen and fluffy towels. Highly recommended.

One block from Jardin Tuileries and two and half block from Tuileries Metro station. Many restaurants and shops close by, the Louvre only three short clocks away. Breakfast offerings are huge and well prepared. Room is as typical of Paris small-ish but well appointed -- lovely bedding, desk, good closet with lock box. Bathroom is large and bath amenities nice. Opportunites for improvement -- the bathroom is large enough for counter space but there is none. Telephone shower locking device was broken, hence totally hand-held, which is a pain in the neck. Desk staff is wonderful and speak perfect English. Lovely hotel!

Room Tip: Our room was on the inside and was quiet.

A great location with the Louvre just around the corner & D'Orsay not far away either. Good restaurants nearby, our favourite L' imperial on Rivoli just around the corner.
A good hotel , clean & tidy & nice staff all around. The only thing we found was its hard getting to sleep. The aircon seems to be set high & centrally controlled. Our room on the 6th floor was very hot at night. That is the only gripe we had & would return here again.

Dear Guests,

We would like to thank you for such a nice review about your recent stay at the Hotel.

As you mentioned, the hotel is centrally located, perfect to visit the essential monuments.

L’imperial is one of our nice restaurant recommendations in the district; we have some other good addresses that you could try during your next visit to Paris.

We also have rooms on the courtyard side which are quieter, feel free to mention it when you reserve.

Regarding the air conditioning, our supplier came and changed a part of the machine in order to reduce the noise.

We thank you again for staying with us and hope you can come back very soon.

Best regards,

Lucie D.
