“Perfect in Paris”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

I have nothing but fabulous things to say about the L' Edmond. The location is in a wonderful quiet neighborhood with tasty restaurants, shopping and a local store for your needs. The metro station is a very short walk from the hotel. I found the staff to be above and beyond welcoming and had helpful suggestions. Christine the manager was especially kind! The rooms are very clean and modern with everything you could ask for. Our stay was perfect.

Room Tip: If you can splurge, the roof top room will take your breathe away with the views of Paris! Also, ta...

Stayed in L'Edmond for 4 nights for my 30th birthday. Great location. 2 mins walk to Villiers metro station. We were given handicap accessible suite which didn't bother us that much except they were no shower doors so the bathroom is soaked after every shower. Service was a little disappointing as we had to ring 3 times for towels to be sent up. No tea facilities even though it clearly states 'coffee and tea facilities.coffee and sugar were not replenished for the entire 5 day stay. On the 4th night, the toilet clogged up and flooded the entire bathroom. We rang the reception immediately to advise before we went out for dinner and nothing was done until we mentioned to the manager after dinner(we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant). We were told we had to be careful not the clog the bathroom??? Isn't that the cleaner's job to unclog the bathroom each time they service the room? Other than the above negatives, if the above didn't happen, I am sure it will be a very pleasant place to stay in

We traveled to Paris for business last week. Having read some of the reviews, We had great expectations for this hotel , and we were lookingr forward to our stay. The room was not the one we asked for we asked for twin beds but were told we have to sleep on one bed as there is no one available to change it to twin bed. The doors of the cupboards were broken though it's a suite . The shower has no door and bathroom soak after showering. We asked for an iron we were told there is only one iron for the whole hotel! La femme de chamber did not show up and the room was left uncleaned . When we got back at 6pm and complained we were told unless she comes up now she will go home and the room will be left unclean. The manager Mme straup very
Rude lady and nearly shouted when we asked that we want the bill printed certain way for work expenses claims. For the price we expected a bit more politeness and proficiency
Will never return back.

We thank you for your comment on Tripadvisor abd we feel deeply sorry for the experience you describe.
We are very concerned of the well-being of our clients and I do assure you that we do our upmost to make their stay as pleasant as possible.
You arrived early in the morning and as your room wasn't ready we upgraded you in one of our deluxe suites overlooking the courtyard in order to provide you the best service.
The room wasn't prepared as twin beds, but to follow up your demande we did it strayed away after your request.
We also proposed your to change the room, because of the cupboard which didn't close properly, but naturally you preferd to stay in the deluxe suite.
I didn't had the chance to meet you personnaly and I'm not awared of any rude treatment you received. I do sincerely regret this situation and I would have liked to meet your to understand your discontent.
We do apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused and assure you that we always do our upmost to provide the best service to our guests. Your satisfaction is our constantly concerne and we wish to make you feel as welcome as possible.

Yours sincerely
Christiane Straube

Location, transportation, insonarisation excellent, staff and personnel extremely welcoming and helpful - but....
Had to wait over 1 hour (till after 15h00 hours) to check-in the first day, room was only cleaned at 15h30 the 2nd day, after 15h00 the last day... far too late in all cases if one wants to freshen up or change after lunch etc.
Classic room # 501 (2 pers) too small and impractical - no place for suitcases, very small and totally impractical closet, miniscule but servicable bathroom - which had the only (half) mirror in the entire room ; valuable space wasted with small, totally useless 'cuisinette' ...
Room was priced at 280 Euros/night but paid 210 Euros through Booking.com - but even then was poor quality/price ratio. Suggestion ? Pay the double - and a lot more - and get a duplex or suite .... but then in that range Paris offers a lot more and better options...

We were bowled over by our choice of hotel. Intimate and refined with professional, helpful and friendly staff. We had a classic room on the 5th floor, room 504, with a huge terrace. The room was modern, elegantly furnished, spotlessly clean and with a great shower in the bathroom. All the fittings are of superior quality. Although the room is small it is well designed and more than adequate for two people. There is a kitchenette with a coffee machine, microwave, hob, dishwasher and fridge. It was a bonus to have been able to shop for local products in the markets in the surrounding streets and then have a picnic on the private terrace. We used the microwave to warm up a quiche but I do think it would be impractical to actually do any cooking using the hob. There is insufficient space for this. We never had any meals in the hotel, prefering to try all the different cafes and restaurants in the immediate area as well as other parts of Paris. This hotel is a real gem

I stayed in this hotel for two night and will definitely come back on my next trip to Paris. The hotel is small but cosy- I got a great room with an amazing balcony (504). What impressed me most in the friendliness of all the employees and when I met the hotel director I knew why. Christina runs a great hotel and a fantastic team.

The rooms are well appointed and they also offer complimentary internet (which is great). The location is very nice too just 2 minutes to the metro station and surrounded by a number of dining options. I would definitely recommend this hotel for single or couples.

Just returned from a trip to Paris with our 18 month old son. Can't speak highly enough of l'Edmond. We stayed in a superior suite which was ideal for our needs with plenty of space for the little one to roam free. Spotlessly clean, beautiful contemporary decoration throughout with a lovely large bath and walk in shower. Added bonus of the hidden kitchen fully equipped with hob / microwave / kettle / dishwasher. We're not big on eating out, even at home, so it was fantastic to have the option of making a meal yourself.

Location wise, the hotel is within easy walking distance of Montmarte, Arc de Triomphe / Champs-Élysées, we also walked to Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Louvre with no problems at all. Metro stop Villiers is literally 200 yards from the front door and Monceau is 5 mins away. Very close to the local park with kids play area. Lots of shops in the streets surrounding the hotel and many small food markets / coffee shops etc.

As one person has noted Avenue de Villiers in quite a busy street with traffic, but we rarely noticed any noise.

Staff were great, very helpful and speak perfect English if like mine, your French is not what it should be.

All in all, delighted and would not hesitate to stay here again..
