I stayed at the Baltimore for 1 night with my daughter as a little mother daughter getaway. I booked via the eurostar sight as a package but once booked emailed the hotel to let tim know i was a Le Club gold member - you are supposed to get "special" treatment…….
The hotel itself is in a great location, you can walk to many sights - but if you want more hustle and bustle, and more unique shops I think you need to be on the other side of town. But we had plans to see the Eiffle tower so chose this location. On arrival we were given a room right by the lift and the safe was also broken. I went down to let them know i was disappointed to be place right by the life as i wanted a good sleep without disruption. The girl at the front desk said although they were fully booked she had one other room which she could move me to, however, it was on the first floor. I said, ok as i expressed that i really didn't want to be by the lift. As we had dinner plans, the girl said they would have our suitcases moved and gave me the new keys. We arrived back around 11 that night and went to the room and to my utter disbelief it was right next to the service life and half the size of the other room. I can't tell you how disappointed i was and from about 5 in the morning we were woken by the constant banging of trollies and the sound of the life. Make sure you don't get room 115! The room itself was clean, but room 115 had a tiny bath room with no space for anything other than the hotel soap. The bed was comfortable enough. I was also disappointed that there was no hair dryer at all - no even a tiny one - so check that before you decide to wash your hair! The next morning I did mention my disappointment to the staff at the front desk and the gentleman did say he would let the girl know - however, latter that day when she was back at the front desk she didn't even bat an eyelid to apologise for giving us probably the worst room in the place! All she had to do was tell me that the only other room they had was next to the service lift and i would have stayed in the room that we had been originally given. The few hours sleep that i got meant that the following day wasn't as enjoyable as i had hoped.
