The Hotel Astor Saint-Honore is a nice place to stay with friendly staff, a small business center, and a pleasent restaurant area. Wireless was available both in the lobby and rooms and provided a reasonable connection speed. There were in-room safes available but the safes are very small so only of limited use. (For example, a standard iPad would not fit, let alone a laptop or full-sized SLR camera with even a small lens attached.

I was told that staff are required to know at least 4 languages and everyone I spoke to could easily switch to another language as soon as they recognized your preference. The conciere was knowledgeable bout local restaurants and was able to provide a local map and good instructions. There were also two grocery stores within walking distance in case you want to buy some local fruit, cheese, and bread and/or forgot something you needed from home.

The soundproofing in the rooms is very good. The room I got was close to the elevator but once I closed the door, I couldn't hear anything.

Overall a very nice hotel. Great location on a nice quiet street. The Concierge and the rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again the next time i travel to Paris! The rooms were nice and clean. If you stay in a three person room it is much roomier than a two person room. Breakfast is included which is very helpful for a family of 5!

A charming small hotel,well located in a quiet street, near La Madeleine, the Elysee Palace and the Champs Elysees.
Staff are most helpful and the ambience very "french".
Standard rooms are small and it is well worth paying the extra for the Superior rooms.

I've been to Paris many times and always tried to stay at the Astor. It tucked away down a narrow little street, Rue d'Astorg in the 8th Arr and is 3 minutes walk to the Elysee Palace and 6 minutes to the Champs Elysees. Best tiem to go, in my opinion, is Christmas because they put all the lights up along the Champs [in the trees] and the hotel is just so convenient. It is also beautifully decorated in a Regency style and it just feels so comfortable. A 4 star hotel that has intimate little sitting areas, a little library, lovely restaurant and typically fabulous French food. The rooms are a delight, and I've stayed in a few of them, so which ever one you get you shouldn't be disappointed. The concergie service is first-class and I normally phone ahead to get them to book a restaurant if it's a Friday/Saturday evening. Highly recommended and the front of the hotel is worth a lovely photograph. Beautiful in the evening.
