Very small room and not good beds ,carpets are stained and frayed, paint is chipping, .Good location for walking to all the main tourist sites. Wireless internet very bad.service is not good ,hotel with no iron in room.

We stayed at this hotel for a week in mid December. This hotel is on my company's preferred hotel list as we have an office in Paris so I expected it to be acceptable but I was blown away by how nice everything was starting with the very friendly and helpful staff, beautifully decorated lobby and restaurant and great location. We had a large first level room (#112) facing the garden with no one on either side of us to it was very quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was roomy, modern and clean. It is in a very safe neighbourhood and we walked or took the different metro lines to go see places. Our favorite walk was to the Christmas Market on Champs Elysee in the evenings. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet which included hot and cold items, great pastries and breads, different fruit salads, cereals and even smoked salmon (my fav!). Did I mention the staff was very helpful? We were able to purchase tickets at the concierge so that we did not have to line up at the Louvre. Highly recommended!

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel 10 times - it has not changed in the impecable service that you receive. They know the finest restaurants and also the hidden gems and can always get you a reservation. The rooms are traditionally European small and beautifully decorated. Incredibly quiet and romantic, it is an easy walk to a lot of places, taxis are familiar with the location and the concierge staff is one lof the finest in the world. Good restaurants are within walking distance and all of the "sites" are not too far - easy for a long walk or a very short taxi ride. I will always stay here and recommend it to all of my traveling friends. Our last visit, we brought another couple who were new to Paris and they loved the experience, the hotel, and the great staff. We were there during Bastille Day and it was quite a magnificent experience. Can't wait to go back to my favorite city and my very favorite hotel in the world.

This hotel is superb.
1. It is a short walk from Rue St Honore where one finds every shop worth knowing including Hermes HQ.The Madelaine is similarly close.
2.Despite 1 it is tranquil for it is surrounded by large Government offices.
3.Bedrooms are immaculate and period stlish with fabric covered walls, crisp bed linen and a fine bathroom containing Fragonard toiletries.
4.At the St Augustin end of the street 2 minutes away is a large Monoprix supermarket with a bakery .
5.The hotel bar is elegant but expensive. Lovely home made crisps and big olives though.
6.Staff were charming . Noteworthy was the black lady who checked me in and was full of humour.The senior concierge ( the number one was on holiday ) was a genius. Ask him for a restaurant table or directions to Versaille and it was delivered! I weas so impressed i gave him my best pen (as well as a tip ).
