“Very nice hotel, location and service. Just one thing....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

Teh hotel is one of the best of our recent trip in France but if you intend to rest a little bit longer be aware that housekeepers ( or maybe the upfloor guest in the same period) make a lot of noise.

Room Tip: If you want to rest and silence ask the back rooms even if they don't have a view. Rooms and bat...

to be honest, i was not very impressed with Powers hotel when i checked in maybe because it doesnt have a huge lobby or any fancy stuff but you know what? who cares!
the hotel enjoys a prime location just a minute away from Champs Elysees, the staff are very friendly. I have to admit the rooms are small and cant say they are up to date but come to think of it, this is the case in most of the hotels in Paris.
i like this hotel and for sure would prefer to stay in Powers rather than paying 3 times in another one 1 minute away

Powers Hotel was enchanting! We were centrally located, just around the corner from The Champs Elysee. We had a junior suite with a balcony and a perfect view of the Eiffel tower!!! The room was huge for a Parisian hotel room. It was so comfortable, charming and elegant. We had an emergency and had to leave 5 days early, the hotel staff actually refunded all 5 days!!!! The Powers Hotel is truly a magical boutique hotel! I am so glad we did not stay in a chain hotel!!!
Free wifi!!!! No Gym or pool.

Room Tip: Ask for a Junior Suite with a view of the Eiffel Tower!!!

Extremely nice and quirky hotel. Expensive but as it's in the heart of the main shopping and tourist area, should be expected. Noisy street outside but at least the windows opened. Has a tiny little two person lift which one person and one medium suitcase fitted into but only with a squeeze.

Room Tip: keep away from the lift

We stayed at the Powers for 2 nights and upgraded to a Jr. Suite because we had my daughter with us. We were welcomed nicely (not always the case in Paris) and treated wonderfully. We were early; however, they agreed to hold our luggage until we could check in. One good note; we flew in from GA to Charles De'G Airport, we thought we would take the metro; but with 3 bags for the 3 week trip it proved difficult hauling the suitcases and backpacks up and down the stairs. I recommend you pay the extra and get a cab unless you are traveling light. The only bad experience I had at the hotel was the bartender..45US for 2 volka tonics...and the attitude was free. The hotel is purfectly loacted near Champ Elyse’s , and only about 6 blocks from the Arc deTrumph. I have traveled to Paris many times, and this was the largest, by far, room I have ever had..well worth the price (Booking.com). They also provided a nice pull out bed for my daughter.

Room Tip: JR Suite was worth the space and cost.

After spending few nights in small Parisian hotels some time ago I was a bit worried before checking in the Hotel Powers but no worries: this family owned hotel is very convenient and situated close to some excellent restaurants and shopping opportunities.

The room itself was quite small but clean and nicely decorated. Not being the member of some international hotel chain means that everything is not so standardised but that did not bother me. But you may find the four star level little exaggerated...

There is a splendid breakfast room on the second floor. I particularly enjoyed having a cup of strong coffee while watching through the window the beautiful streets of the eight arrondissement .

Room Tip: Room number 8 seems to be a bit bigger than the ones surrounding it.

there were no towels when I checked in. In addition, the room was really small.

You cannot fault the location, though, as it was a short stroll to Champs-Elysees and two metro stations, not to mention the magnificent Arc de Triomphe and loads of fashionable shopping and dining. It sits next to a nice chocolate shop, too. For people short on time when visiting Paris, this is an ideal base.

I will not gripe too much about the room size because what you pay is what you get. This is an affordable place. The counter staff was very pleasant and helpful. You do not stay here for the food, either. There is no restaurant, except a continental breakfast room and a small lobby bar manned by a guy who also does room service.

Would I stay there again? Maybe, if they put in some towels.
