“Hotel Mayfair is home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013 via mobile

This is my second stay at the Mayfair Hotel. I am glad to be back.
The staff is wonderful.
The location is great. Very close to the metro station and Champs Élysées.
The rooms have old style charm and elegance.
The breakfast is a fantastic. I had the best ham omelet and capachino that I have ever had in my life. And wonderful service.
I will be back.

We just returned from an 8-day stay in Paris at the Hotel Mayfair Paris. It was our 5th consecutive year as guests at this convenient and well-appointed four-star hotel. The location is wonderful on a quiet side street just off rue du Rivoli and across from the Tuileries. The metro Concorde is very close and provides easy access with fewer needed transfers to all the areas we enjoy so much, including Montmartre and the Marais. Slip out of the the hotel's entrance and enjoy the "electric shimmy" of the Eiffel Tower each evening from a nearby corner on rue-du Rivoli. And did I mention the English-speaking staff? In earlier years, we stayed in hotels in the Marais, Bercy, and the left bank, but none compare to Hotel Mayfair when it comes to the friendly, helpful staff ranging from Louise in the breakfast room to Kati the doorman and Florence in reservations. The nightime staff is to be commended for securing a physician promptly during the early morning hours of Easter Sunday when we needed unexpected medical help. Once your've been there, you will want to return! Charlyn B.

Again we visited Paris after a long journey around regional France and finished in Paris. Coming to the Mayfair is almost like coming home. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful and nothing is "too much" for them to assist someone in need. The accommodation is just superb, it is faultless in providing stylish rooms and facilities. The location is also great as it enables access to all major tourist activities with ease. It is also very consistent in its polished performance as I can attest as it was my fourth stay there and it will not be my last.

I spent a time here in the week of Christmas. Due to a high season the price seems to be high although considering its nice location but less than standard equipment. In general hotels in Paris are relatively old and maintenance is not satisfactory except five star hotels. This hotel has some issues to introduce.
At first there is no porter man in front of the hotel and I need to bring baggage into the hotel by myself. It looks like a cheap business hotel. The second, WiFi is not functioning well. Probably the WiFi signal is set very weak while I could get the signal from Westin Hotel located on the next street. I complaint to the front desk and a technician called me to try to fix the problem but failed to fix satisfactory. The third, the bath room amenity is poorly equipped and I recommend you to bring your own. Also shower hanger is broken and I needed to hold a shower head. The fourth, the breakfast menu is limited.
Overall, even though the location is excellent, considering the above factors and the average price per night costs USD 358.00, much more improvement is expected.

Room Tip: Try to choose a large room and stay at off season to avoid surprising bill.

Stayed for a week- loved the proximity next to the Lourve and gardens, quick access to trains. Room was very small but comfortable bed with nice linens. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, great coffee, eggs made to order and pastries.
Staff was helpful at times but took forever to activate Wifi in the room , and a bit rude. Safe in room was not working right and hair dryer in bath broken. They gave us one to use, then tried to bill me for it although I returned it to them.
Overall it was a nice stay but over priced, mostly due to location which is great . There is no spa or restaurant on site but plenty within walking distance.

Staff were extremely helpful & fulfilled every request, even prior to arriving.
Room was spacious and the balacony made the experience even more romantic.
Great location. Near the metro, walk to the Louvre, Notre Dame. Lots of shops and restaurants on the main road outside.

Room Tip: Request a balcony. You won't spend much time on it but it's nice.

We were very pleased with the Mayfair. The location (half block of Rue de Rivoli, between Place de Concorde and the Louvre) is hard to beat -- especially getting a nice room at a decent price. Lobby and restaurant were modest. Staff was good. Street noise in the early morning was a bit of a problem if you'd hoped to sleep in (our rooms were in the front).

Room Tip: There are different grades/sizes of basic rooms. We had adjoining rooms -- one pretty small; one qu...
