“Perfect hotel for the seasoned traveler”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2014

I have been to Paris a dozen times and have had my fill of accomodations within the city. This hotel offers a great combination of luxurious feeling amenities, excellent near-over-the-top service and perfect location.

I usually stay in the Marais / Chatelet area but this year my husband requested that we stay close to the Champs Elysee to experience the New Year's Eve vibe. The hotel is really close to both the Champs Elysee and a few steps from the luxury shopping of Avenue Montaigne, but well within the Triangle d'or to offer a peaceful and quiet retreat that is well wanted after a day of sight seeing and touring.

Service before stepping through the door was excellent. The concierge was able to make reservations and find out more information on specific places for us for New Year's eve.

We booked our room with the tripadvisor deal online (with free breakfast that you can have delivered to your room) and requested a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and we were given a great room on the 5th floor. Staff was friendly and we even received a special eiffel tower snowglobe gift from them on New Year's eve along with free champagne and cheese in the lobby area before we departed for dinner. They put us in a very festive mood for the holidays, and we felt at home and looked forward to being in our room at the end of each day.

Oh, and wifi was free and the signal strength was very good (a great plus considering other hotels in our trip had spotty service).

Would definitely recommend staying here as a special treat to yourself and your loved ones in this beautiful city.

Room Tip: Floors on 5th floor offer views of eiffel tower and have terraces. Request this in advance.

The West End Hotel was recommended by a well-heeled Parisian who said there was no need to spend the $$$$ on a 5-star hotel. She was so right!. Perfect location. Delightfully quiet side street dotted with well-known restaurants and superb shopping. Rooms surprisingly chic and comfortable. Breakfast perfectly delivered so as to enjoy on small terrance table. Staff most gracious and helpful. Actually, more like staying at a private club than a hotel.

Room Tip: The higher the floor the better the view of Paris rooftops and chance of terraces. With only 6 floor...

Great location, spacious room and bathroom. Typical Parisian decoration. Very nice employees who are always willing to help. Breakfast was ok, good, but nothing spetacular - we eneded up always having it in the room.

Stayed with my wife, great location chique, exquisite and excellent rooms! Highly recommended! Very good breakfast that can be served in your room! Look to stay on the 3rd floor!
Service is good, but without ant special perks, good restaurants close by!

The hotel has a superb location tucked away in an excellent residential location within 5 mins walk of the Champs Élysées, close to some of the cities most fashionable stores and with restaurants to suit all budgets in the immediate neighbourhood. Good walking legs and a fine day would allow you to walk to The Louvre, the left bank and Notre Dame exploring the delights of the city en route. The staff are charming and helpful, the hotel a complete little gem with an individual style of decor, the rooms are quite small but spotlessly clean with good bathrooms, bed linen and towels. If you are lucky you will even get a view of the Eiffel Tower from your window.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2013

We stayed four days, the first two in a Classic room, the last two in a Deluxe room. For 60€ difference, it's a completely different story. I would highly recommend not trying the smallest rooms for two, they're just too small. The larged Deluxe rooms 502/503 (503 seems to be the best as it's a corner room with views of the Eiffel Tower) are much much nicer and suitable for 2 people with seating space, a walk-in wardrobe, a decent size bathroom and separate toilet.

The staff of the hotel is warm and helpful in supplying the items that their rooms are missing and which a four star hotel room should have like wine glasses, a corkscrew, an iron board etc..

The air conditionning works silently and heats well the rooms, but does humidify the air, the result is an excessively dry air in the rooms (below 30%) that is quite uncomfortable.. clearly there is room for improvement.

Overall, the location is very convenient for shopping and walking around the 8eme.. just a couple hundred meters from the Champs Elysees, Rue Marbeuf restaurants and Hotel George V. If you can secure one of the "good" deluxe rooms during the summer months, it's probably worth up to 300 EUR a night.

While it's cozy and well located for a luxury weekend, they hotel does not escape to the stingyness and poor value for money of most boutique parisian hotels in the center.. c'est la vie.

Room Tip: The deluxe rooms 502 or 503 (best corner room with views of Eiffel Tower) are the only properly size...

This hotel is very good. It is clean. The rooms are quiet, at least ours was. The staff are very, very friendly and helpful. The room is small but this is Paris. The location was excellent, within easy walk of major attractions. We would certainly return and recommend it.
