My travel agent warned that Cite Bergere was a tiny street & not easy to find but great value. The taxi driver at Gard du Nord station knew it well and said very tiny street. It is narrow, short and L-shaped with several small clean hotels. A small but workable lobby with comfortable seating and knowledgable efficient desk-staff. Clean rooms and heating that worked. One of the better budget hotels in Paris.
It's just around the corner from the Hard Rock Cafe, Montmartre Blvd where we had to collect "Paris passes" and has a Metro there too. There's a Carrefour supermarket right there and lots of reasonably-priced eateries. Breakfast was included. Typical french bread, croissant, cheese, jams, tea coffee and cereal with apple or milk for the children. It made a great base from which to introduce family to Paris.
