“a great money value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2011

we checked in for 4 nights and were very pleased. the room is small, that is right, but it suited our needs (we toured all day long and just came to sleep and shower in the hotel). the room was very clean, the bathroom was superb, the beds made out every day. the mini bar was filled with free drinks (non alcoholic of course, the alcohol was to be charged for). above all I can recommend the staff, especially at the enternace, who made their best to supply, help and answer any of our questions no matter how dumb. everything was met with a smile and patience. the breakfast was really good for a 3 star and included most of the inter contitental menu. the hotel was located but 2 streets from the metro, bus and other main attractions. overall I can recommend this hotel with all my heart. there are alot of 3 stars that does not worth your money but this one certainly does.

Stayed for a few nights in Paris as a small break. The hotel was quite hard to find even from the Gare du Nord, but was in a reasonably good location when it was found (though attractions further south than the Louvre are too far away to be comfortable by foot). Quiet and well kept, breakfast was nice, close to a small supermarket and some excellent restaurants. Biscuits were left on the dresser and we were charged for them even though we did not have any, and had money taken from the room; staff were not happy to deal with either issue and we ended up 30E worse off than we should have been. If there is another hotel of a similar price and star rating available in the same area would probably go for that instead, though this review should not be doom-and-gloom, the money issue clouded what was otherwise a pleasant stay.

My wife and I visited Paris last week and stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. We were very very pleased with the service, cleanliness, etc. The rooms are not big but suit your basic needs. The free wi-fi in the entire hotel is great, free non-alcoholic drinks in the mini-bar is also a great treat! It is a bout a 20 minute metro ride to th Eiffel Tower. Only a 5 minute walk to the closest Metro station (Chateau D'Eau). If you nee kosher eateries, you can't find a better location. It is right down the stree from kosher restaurants a bakery and a supermarket. Would for sure go back there again.

I read some of the reviews on this site and had my doubts about this hotel, but was so relieved to find it clean and handy for everything we wanted! The rooms are clean, sheets changed daily and the bathrooms were up to the mark too. The only downside was the awful shower curtain in the 3 bed room - we had 2 rooms, a double and twin bedded room for the children. The rooms maybe on the small side for some, but when all you are doing is showering and sleeping, you don't need any more room. AND the soft drinks in the mini bar are FREE. There is a handy shop just across the road if you feel the need for more soft drinks/choc/crisps or have just forgot your toothbrush, it also doubles as an internet cafe for you to order your Eiffel Tower tickets, trust me, it's worth doing, the queues are always about 2 hours long at the Tower. The queue for the catacombs was 3 hours long, but they don't have online ticketing for them.
The hotel breakfast room in in the cellar, but again the room is clean and the food plentiful ,they even do hot choc, the only hotel we've ever stayed at that does. You can also get hot drinks all day for FREE too.

I would say the room, beds, bathroom, etc... it was all good.
I just didn't like the location, because it was a pretty long walk to the metro stations, when you consider that it was supposed to be close to Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord.
I traveled with my parents (60-65) and maybe that was the reason that it felt like a really long walk to the stations.
I don't think there were that many nice places to eat around the hotel area, and that made the situation a bit more uncomfortable.
But the hotel itself was very nice.... plus we got the 2 beds (1 double & 1 twin) that we requested before booking

I am very used sleeping in this part of Paris for business and compare with the other hotel around "Les Folies Bergeres" (I don't work there : ) ), it is generally speaking cleaner and providing a better service. The staff was friendly and professional, the room was clean and modern. And the price was reasonnable. So not a fantastic hotel, but convenient if you need to sleep around there.
