My husband and I stumbled upon Beaurepaire after watching the sunset near Notre Dame on Pont St. Louis. The twinkling lights on the restaurant looked romantic and whimsical, and there was quite a crowd sitting at the tables outside, so we decided to take a chance and pop in for dinner. We were promptly seated and kindly attended to, although the server seemed a bit over worked.
But the meal we ordered was of low quality, and we paid the bill and walked out after taking a few bites. We ordered the "Txuleta" from the menu- 1.2 kg of red meat that came with salad and fries. It looked promising. The cost was 58 euros per 1 kg of meat, and the minimum order was 1.2 kg, so our total bill was 69,6 euruos. But the meat was so tough, we could barely chew it. The fries were oily. And as for the salad-- it looked like nearly every leaf in that salad had wilted and had brown edges.
After taking a few bites, we couldn't stomach any more. We asked for the bill, paid and left. The servers were kind, the ambiance seemed nice, but the food was disgusting and a poor value.
