“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2011

After searching for hours online to find a nice hotel in Paris with good value, we found and booked in this hotel. And we are very happy we made that choice as it met all our expectations!

The location is very convenient in a nice neighborhood and the service is professional and friendly.

Room was spacious, very clean, French style, being classic and modern at the same time.

Definitely recommend this hotel for a stay.

Room Tip: We saw all rooms on fourth floor, they are all different but very nice.

Booked via Railbookers for three couples celebrating a 70th birthday. Hotel more than met all expectations. Rooms eclecticaly different but all comfortable and welcoming and above all clean. Location excellent for sight-seeing and shopping with many attractions being within a 15-20 minute walk. Many restaurants within similar distance to cover all tastes and prices.Reception staff were all extremely helpful and ever cheerful with suggestions for travel by bus and metro when asked. Taxis, when requested for special outings, were promptly ordered and arrived in good time. Breakfast was more than sufficient to get the day underway with plenty of good coffee. This hotel definitely helped to make the birthday weekend a success

Great little hotel near the Garde du Nord train station. We stayed for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and service for the price. The receptionist, Sebastion was very helpful and a pleasure.
My only complaint was that there is a large cut out from the bedroom staring directly into the shower and toilet area of the bathroom. Yes, the bathroom! Not for the faint of heart or newly coupled. Aww, the French are so romantic.

We got a beautiful large room. The hotel also has tiny rooms for a much lower price. Our room was unusually attractive and the bathroom was very chic with good fixtures. The room was very very quiet day and night. It wasn't especially comfortable, though, and the hotel management seems to save on supplies. The weather was rather warm yet we only had a heavy comforter, no top sheet or light blanket. Bathroom supplies were not replenished unless we made a special request. The staff were remarkable friendly and helpful.

The neighborhood is pleasant, with food stores next door. The metro stations are not close but several bus lines stop near the hotel. The hotel is within walking distance from Sacre Coeur, the Opera Garnier, and the Grand Boulevards.

I stayed just one night, but i really liked it. The rooms are typically small (this is an occupational hazard in Paris) but, mine was very comfortable, clean, recently renovated and had everything I could need. The hotel is on a quiet street, but close to many nice cafes and bars, metro and only a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord. I was too late for breakfast (another plus, the beds are very comfy !)and the nice woman at the front desk got me some juice, fruit and a coffee. Most other hotels, especially in Paris, would have booted you out with a maternal suggestion that you should't have slept so late. All in all, a nice hotel with a charming and accommodating staff.

We spent bank holiday weekend here and had booked feeling reasonably confident based on the previous reviews. The hotel is in a great location, just south of the Montmartre district and only 10 mins walk for the Gare de Nord rail station. The welcome was warm and efficient and we were shown to our room. It's quite a stylish hotel and our room had the front of a Fiat 500 on the wall with working lights which looked cool. Due to being a ground floor room, it was quite dark and so lighting had to be used all the time. Due to being a boutique type hotel I was quite surprised by the lack of toiletries in the bathroom. This stay was a bit of a treat, but the only complementary items were two mini bars of soap and a shower cap. Now, you get these items at an Etap or Formula 1 hotel and I guess I expected something a little better as the cost saving can't be that great. The shower itself was excellent though.

The only other complaint I would have is that the downstairs rooms are next to the breakfast area and despite the inclusion of a small hallway the noise can be quite loud from this area. It did mean that we were awoken at 6am by the sound of cups and plates being arranged for breakfast. I suppose we could have asked for a room change, but we were settled by the point we found out, so a pillow over the head worked instead! Maybe it would be a better idea to lay the table for breakfast the night before?

If I hadn't had these complaints I would have given it a rating of 4 as the location and helpfulness of the staff was excellent. I would recommend it to others, but I would just avoid the downstairs rooms.

Room Tip: Avoid the ground floor level

The hotel was very quiet, with lovely clean rooms, although we found the room to be a bit on the small side, compared to others we had stayed in throughout Europe. We found lots of local shops and Patisseries to be closed for summer holidays, with many opening just after our visit to Paris, however the Boulevard De Rochenchouart was within easy walking distance to Cafes and Restaurants.
