I would highly recommend this little hotel- my daughters and I were entranced by how lovely and helpful the staff were. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of course you can get grander rooms in Paris, but you'll be paying much, much more (as my husband and I did on our 25th anniversary). Yes, the three of us were a bit cramped, but we each had our own single bed and were perfectly comfortable. The bathroom was spotless, and the only trouble we had there was that the shower door kept coming off the tracks when we opened one side. This was so minor that I never even mentioned it to the staff, or I'm sure they would have helped. They were so friendly and helpful about absolutely everything we did ask about. The location was perfect- in a charming, safe neighborhood incredibly close to Notre Dam and an easy walk to the metro. I would recommend taking one of their cards to show taxi drivers if you're using them (they really are not very expensive for getting around the city and can be a blessing if you're carrying shopping bags.) It's a small hotel on a small street and the drivers had a hard time finding it until I started doing this. We did use the metro a lot, too, and felt perfectly safe. Around the corner is the fabulous Eric Kayser boulangerie. They have a sit-down cafe a couple of doors down from the bakery where you can get an inexpensive breakfast with counter seating. Also, one of our favorite meals was at the Terrior Parisien, which is only about 2 blocks away on St Victor. The duck was amazing. Wow, I miss Paris already and would definitely stay here again!
