“Very cosy and homely”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

The location of this hotel is perfect if you travel to Paris for sightseeing. I don't like underground trains, I prefer to walk or take a taxi. Alternatively, in Paris you can travel on the Seine by boat. The taxi fares in Paris are very reasonable so you get on a boat, walk to the place you'd like to visit and take a taxi back to the hotel when you're tired. Along with the perfect location I can recommend this hotel for its friendly staff and cosiness. When I travel privately I avoid hotels that look and feel like the ones I choose for business travel. I am interested in character rather then functionality. This hotel offers a romantic setting. Simply don't go there if your idea of a good hotel is grandeur.

Room Tip: take a room on the 6th. floor for a good view of the surroundings

That is basically it. The room was quiet and fabulously located but needed a touch up, was a tad small and the blankets could have done with replacing for new ones or even better, replacing for a lovely crisp duvet. Overall while it had many good qualities and the staff were lovely, the room needs some new paint and linen.

Room Tip: It was on the very top floor, perhaps the rooms below are larger...

Couldn't be better placed for a trip to Paris. The street is a venue in itself with its little art galleries, restaurants and bars! Notre Dame just over the bridge. Welcoming, helpful staff. Small but clean and quiet room. Have already booked to return with friends.

I stayed here four nights and was so very greatful to the staff. My flight came in very early in the morning and even though my room was not available and would not be until afternoon, the manager offered me another room for the one night so that I could get some rest. The next day i came back from touring to find my things moved to my room. The hospitality was wonderful throughout the trip. Great breakfasts, spotless and the perfect location. Very quiet at night. I was traveling alone. I felt very safe and can't think of anything that wasn't first rate. Yes, the rooms are small, but lots of storage and the bathroom was much larger than most hotels that I have stayed in in Europe. It was a great visit made all the more so by picking this location as my home away from home.

This hotel offers a comfortable and charming base from which to explore Paris. 150 metres to the Right Bank. 150 meteres to the Left Bank. Exceptionally helpful and informed staff who do their utmost to accomodate any requests. The rooms though on the small size ( and which French hotel room is not on the small side you might ask ) are well appointed, the beds exceptionally comfortable and everything is kept spotlessly clean. I stayed there for eight nights and found it exceptional value. I would recommend it wholeheartedly to anyone .

Room Tip: For complete quiet I would suggest rooms at the back of the hotel. However for views and some atmosp...

The location of this hotel cannot be beat, on the middle of Ile de St Louis, steps from Bertillion, numerous cafes and in viewing distance of Notre Dame. The public rooms are charming. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel (who's price was very reasonable for Paris) but we must get their smallest room. The room has an awkward snteroom/hall which connects it to the main hallway, but the room itself is closet sized with an even smaller bathroom. It could just a touch up of it's decor. However, the front desk stafff are all very helpful and friendly, making suggestions and reservations upon request. We did have our Petit dejeuner dans la chambre ....nothing like coffee, hot milk and pain au chocolate brought to your bed (no matter how tiny) on a silver tray. Ah Paris!! Next time, will request the room in their photo though!

Room Tip: ask for a larger room or the one in the picture!

The location near Notre Dame cannot be beat. There are metro stations nearby, but it is easy to walk to many of the main sites. The streets adjacent to the hotel contain excellent restaurants and cafes. The rooms are small, though in line with many 3 star European Hotels. The rooms shown in the professional photos with the food beamed ceilings are in the front of the hotel and cost more. We thought it was worth it. Though small, there was a lot of storage space--two closets, shelves-- so we were not tripping over suitcases and clothes. A small fridge and a fairly large bathroom. The staff was quite accommodating with hotel reservations and any other requests. There is a 13 Euro breakfast, which is huge. But we preferred to eat at a cafe down the street. We were there for 6 days and felt like regulars after a while. All staff speak English.
